ZCL up 20x and now even HUSH. Bitcoin Private being released and OP saying

Quote
bitcoinz-pod team roadmap
Follow stable zcash/bitcoin core updates / no new features other than Zcash changes are planned by bitcoinz-pod team

is not inspiring the most confidence in me.

What new features do you need? This coin have working features from original bitcoin extended with the privacy and ASIC resistance mining.

You must understand, that on the money world and at the cryptography world old time-tested features are better in 99% cases.

Example: Now, Bitcoin (BTC) spoiled by new, non-workers and dubious features like SegWit and LN. These are not working features, unnecessarily complicated, non-secure and with many pitfalls which (very possible) will be fail after start, if at all will ever be launched(LN). As a result one of the branches(BTC) was spoiled with crap code. At the same time original vision of bitcoin from bitcoin whitepaper was restored/saved at another branch of bitcoin (BCH). It's old code, but it's working amazing without any scammy new features.

BTCz also work on the codebase from original bitcoin vision (like BCH with real original bitcoin code), but it also extended with zcash privacy and BTCz is ASIC resistance. BTCz on the technical plan is already better that any other bitcoin from original branch. What do you really need more of that? Scammy untested PoS? Or maybe centralized hubs like DASH have? Or what? All whistles and fakes on other coins now only to inspire and impress investors. Real money are coins like BTCz.

What about the wallet encryption feature from Bitcoin?

Wallet encryption is a much requested feature and if Zcash won't implement it, why not develop that feature for BTCZ?

What about the wallet encryption feature from Bitcoin?

Another unnecessary and not working feature (whistles and fakes) which does not increase security at all.

To protect yourself, you need to use not compromised computer.

If your computer has already been compromised (hacker, virus, trojan) then nobody will safe you, because your money will be stolen after the first time when you will enter your wallet encryption password.

If enemy can steal your wallet.dat, then nobody prevents him to steal your password.

This password creates only the illusion of security.

So, I made the conclusion that it's rather a minus to security than a plus.

If someone is actively keylogging you then no password is secure but otherwise how is the feature broken?

What should I do with the current chart of BitcoinZ?
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoinz/

It is likely that with the pump of yesterday which had a little bit low volume, there might be next bigger pumps. Am I right?

BTCZ is immutable and it is finished. No new features are needed to the zcash core.
Decentralization and immutability is the key in the long term success.

I hear there are many active BTCZ developers around the world but what are those developers developing?

Re-read my comment.

One the very first time when you will enter password it will broke. If you want to keep you wallet.dat safe, then do not keep it on your hard drive. Simple solution.

I heard the same about Bitcoin Core team. But almost 5 years they do nothing with every day increasing fees. Only that they do 5 years: ruined the original working bitcoin code with their intervention. They also maid it less secure with SegWit and more centralized on the question of mining, because small miners out of the game for the reason of high fees (you can not receive your mining reward if you small miner, because all reward go to fees) . Maybe need to ask this question for them? Or wait. You will be banned after this question.

Bitcoin is unequipped to deal with the amount of transaction now with $50 transaction fee and hundreds of thousands of unconfirmed transactions so how is a layer 2 solution ruining Bitcoin code? LN still relies on the blockchain.

Do you own investigation, read more what LN is.

In simple words it's centralized hub, where you can send your bitcoins (remember: to made this you need to make on-chain transaction(s) with high fees!) and you can lose you bitcoins at all Smiley

With simple explanation you already have Lightning Network. It is any exchange ( specialty exchanges with "codes" or possibility to withdraw funds to other user account at the exchange.
Exchange = lightning hub.

You send to Exchange(lighting hub) your bitcoins and then you can send it to other users, spend and pay for other services that this exchange support with low fees. Also you can do "atomic swaps" on exchange(lightning hub) to other crypto coin. So, think that exchange=Lighting hub, then answer me how LN will solve your problems if it will be announced? Smiley

"Exchange = lightning hub" is a flawed perspective. You do not irreversibly send Bitcoin to a LN hub. Without going into too much detail, you basically lock up an amount of BTC by opening a payment channel. But they are still your Bitcoins. Yes this is an on-chain transaction, and you have to pay a fee. Then you can make offchain transactions via LN. Within the LN you create valid transactions but you don't publish them to the BTC blockchain. Once you publish the last valid transaction to the blockchain, the payment channel is closed. And this again carries a fee.

And this again carries a fee.

It's analogy and it's not "flawed perspective". On the point of user view it's the same. The main position that nothing will changed for regular users only  complication of coin :

1. "opening a payment channel" = You move your bitcoin to exchange and have one onchain transaction like at LN = you open your channel.
2. "But they are still your Bitcoins." Yes, on the exchange it's the same: "your bitcoin", but exchange can request KYC from your to return it or can return ZERO for you for some other reason. But it's still your bitcoin. The same lightning hub can request KYC from your and send you back less amount that your expected to receive. All the same as on exchanges.
3. Within the LN you create valid transactions but you don't publish them to the BTC blockchain. == The same you do on the exchange. You make valid transactions offchain on the exchange, but don't publish them on the blockchain.
3. "Once you publish the last valid transaction to the blockchain, the payment channel is closed" the same will be happen when you will "close you payment channel on the exchange" with bitcoin wiredraw function. At the same moment you will receive onchain transaction. Like checkpoint at LN.

Conclusion: almost the same as exchange. Will not help Smiley
Conclusion2: when (and IF) ppl will discover the truth about SegWit, RBF on Core Bitcoin(BTC) and LN. On such situation BTC price will drop significantly without any odds to recover, Bitcoin name will receive other coin with original bitcoin vision. all other coins spoiled with segwit will also drop down or die. The chance will be for not spoiled coins who develop on the road and vision from original bitcoin whitepaper .

p.s. And this I have not yet written about the pitfalls of never announced LN, but described at developer whitepaper. I.E. Do you know that at some cases if user will go offline suddenly by network failor or so when he use LN, then he will lose his bitcoins? Amazing technology Smiley Good luck with all of that Smiley

I really like the concept applied in this project. I think it's very easy for this project to succeed if the team works hard and listens to the participants' suggestions. then what are your plans for the future of this project?
