Check it out for yourself: www.electroneum.comI don't believe it will turn out to be a scam. The best thing is that the coin will be mineable on your phone! My (old) phones will be mining from 1 november Right now over 70,000 people believe it is not a scam .... I think the app with the mining thing will give the token an upgoing value. Adoption will be high and I hope the gaming industry will partner up as the Electroneum team tries to achieve.

I don't think it will be one of those $300 per piece tokens but bellow ICO? Nah, I think it will be above ICO price in a significant way.

Well, if you buy now below 1 cent and it hits the exchanges, I would not be surprised it will hit 10 cent within no time. That means more than 10 times my investment Well, let's dream: it gets to $1 in one year .... 100 times our money

I don't think it's a scam but proper due diligence is always good no matter who is behind the project. Food for thought.

You have proof to confirm this. I do not think electroneum is scam because they have very good community and have a lot of pumps in this market. They have clear development path and will definitely have product to work in the future

I think this problem does not need to continue because the reporting electroneum scam has admitted misunderstanding. and many have explained that this electroneum is really a good project. I was wearing a signature electroneum. because I'm sure electroneum will be a huge success

I've read the latest news about electroneum to this day about harry reddknap already buy some electroneum token in the ico sale. I can't call this one as a scam because (i don't know if this was true or not) Harry buy some electroneum token with its amount. And electroneum twitter said that not pay harry to endorse for the electroneum project. But some suspicious things must be verified by the developer. But this looks good in my opinion and not included in the scam. I may think some people are misunderstanding about this.

Electroneum was a successful project so I never think that this is a scam, definitely more investors are enjoying to invest in this activity due to good performance in crypto currency industry. Moreover it is a good opportunity to all capitalist people, because I know that this time developers of this project are still improved electroneum to attract more shareowner for the for the successful of this project.

So can anyone clear something up for me? When I first read about Electroneum I followed some blogs and forums and eventually found a chat where someone said that the mobile mining is not actually mining (adding blocks to the network etc) because real mobile mining would be way to intense on a mobile phone, draining your battery real quick. It's more like a simulation making it look like you are actually mining. Also a mobile processor is so weak it would take such a long time to actually mine something. Charging your phone might be more expensive compared to the energy your phone uses to mine a coin. I found some reviews including this one that also says the mining thing "might" not actually be mining and that this was just a way to gain massive attention for the ICO . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHPPt0LKFH8can anyone prove me wrong?

electroneum is definitely NOT a scam. It's founded by an interesting team that is pretty good if it's about marketing. I think this marketing-expertice might lead to a pretty good really because they know how to get people's attention. You can have the best product in the world but when people don't know it then they can't buy it but the team behind electroneum know's how to get attention so it will succeed in my opinion

Just as you said the phones won't really mine but give a "mining experience" in which users gain some coins by running the app or playing a game. This is mainly to attract new users and attention to the coin. They want to get a viral app going for non crypto savvy people. I think this might work, as long as these people can actually spend the coins somewhere (micros transaction in games or something) this will give the coins value and increase the price on exchanges.

I'd like Bitfinex to list them, I had contact with their staff: "they will look into it". So, if more people mail them, they will list the coin

I was going to invest in Electroneum, I asked one of the devs Richard about the token supply being 30% and what would happen with the remaining 70% and how much of that would be for the Team. The answer I got was 70% was going into the blockchain to be mined, but no answer on what percentage of that was being kept for the team?

Not only that it would drain your battery, it would probably burn your phone (well, before that, it would probably trigger auto-turn-off due to temperature). Smartphones with their passive cooling are definitely not a good option for real mining. However, this "fake mining", or "mining experience" as CarlJohnson mentioned in the response above, is a very good idea to get more people into this confusing (for many) crypto world. It has a lot of potential without any doubt.
