Ah, i bought 10k ETN for 5 cents last week and sold yesterday for 6, because i thought it will not rise.. and now it is almost 9 cents

Classic rookie mistake!! We all go through those phases. You need to be in the game for a while before you develop a stomach that can handle slow increases and even drops in the price.

Do not know if this is a scam, but I dont like the idea of mobile mining really. Mining in your mobile phone is a bad idea better mine with CPU or better yet GPU, the mobile hardware is not as resistant and its never worth it mining with a powerful mobile phone

The mobile mining is not convention mining in any sense. It does not solve blocks or perform any CPU-intensive calculations. It is based solely on an algorithm. So basically you earn coins just by having your phone "connected" to the mining server. The entire idea is not to emit coins for securing the blockchain and validating transactions, but rather for helping to market the coin.

Marketing is performed by you showing the app to other people and telling them about it (one reason why the miner looks so well designed and visually appealing). Those people will then join and tell others about it. And so everyone is rewarded a little bit of coins for the marketing functionality.

It's at 9.3 cents at the moment... was over 10c a few mins ago. Winning.

I said from the start of the ico it would be good! Hodl Smiley

I was expecting the price to fall. I was going to buy it at a low price. But it was a dream. Smiley Smiley Smiley.

$ 1 is much much closer now.

HODL HODL HODL

Me too!! I had nearly $1000 sitting on Cryptopia ready to buy when it hit 100 satoshi, but it just wouldn't get there. I missed out on buying in at 300, so I finally caved and bought at 400. That's almost a quarter of the number of coins I was hoping for, but I'm happy nonetheless. I'm already 20% in the green on my investment, and growing!!

And this my friends is the perfect example of spam made only for the purpose of getting to the number of post set by the target of the bounty. He didn`t even read the last post. He just read the first part of the op post and then gave a general answer that doesent says anything. This kind of post makes finding usefull info on the forum hard. JUST STOP!

Here's a new interview with the CEO, Richard Ells. It was published a couple of hours ago...

https://youtu.be/wdYeTbNvOBU

Watch it, and tell me if you still think it's a scam.

- Over 700 million coins have been transferred out of the online ICO wallets.
- Big partnerships with airtime companies.

I for one was able to sell some of my ICO coins on Cryptopia (though I bought it back at a cheaper price), so I know this is definitely not a scam.

Well, I think it's time to stop this thread Smiley ETN is far from a scam, like we all noticed by now. Just buy ETN Smiley

Agreed. We can stop posting now...

In summary, the launch was a bit of a mess and for a while it looked dicey.  It's now out there, working wallets, working website, working blockchain.  If its a scam, its the same as every other ICO released coin.  Cheesy

Where is the marketing? I doxed the dev team, which wasn't too hard when they post all their LinkedIn. They are big players in the internet marketing industry in England. They can do it for free!?! I even looked up the coins head guy Richard Ells and called his headquarters. I asked the secretary about Electroneum? I was transfered to a guy that asked me how he could help me with my questions. So I asked, "why aren't you marketing this ICO?". He said, "they are and more is coming." Do you see any marketing? WTF.

The ICO starts in 3 days!!

EDIT

No, it is definately not a scam.

They have raised 3 million already.

I was worried about the marketing, but now I see their ads everwhere I go on the internet, so the guy wasnt kidding when he said the marketing is coming!!

Damn!!! Ive never seen a coin hit mainstream news sites!!!

Electroneum makes it easy to access and use a super secure cryptocurrency that has all of the benefits of bitcoins and more.electroneum protect your transaction history and wallet content from prying  eyes and others.

This is a really good topic to raise. The thing is we really need some verification site or something that will tell us whether the coins that we are investing on or working for in a campaign is really legitimate. There are some who can really tell the difference between scam and real. However, I don't recall them sharing the idea.

It may not be a scam but rankly the development team is too slow. Evene after relaunch, the mobile miner is still offline. Evene though their ico sales has increased in value to over 100M dollars, but still they haven't paid any big exchange to list their coin. When we look at other alt coins, they are really growing but this is too stagnant. I know that the price is well above, but at the end, its the speed at which it grows is what matters. And frankly, starting petitions to get listed on coinbase was silly. Forget coinbase, you aren't even listed on any lower exchanges as well.

Electroneum created its own blockchain system that are working quite effective. But the Ethereum scheme is much better. Electroneum invention didn’t withstood the competition with other currencies.

I'm starting to get the feeling that the people saying they lack the technological skills are right. When contacting the support team about certain issues they seem to have no idea what's going on or how to fix it, which is concerning.

Electroneum is really a good choice if you want to invest on altcoin there is so much hype on it and it's only listed on 1 exchange what if they reach the bigger exchanges?

The title of this thread is OUTDATED. By now it has been established that Electroneum is genuine and not a scam. Many people have started trading ETN on Cryptopia and many have profited. Today when all top 100 coins are in the read, Electroneum is green!
