Even though I'm new here I personally don't see many coins if not all failing within the next few years, the technology and future coding will be way way ahead of what we are experiencing even now. Within the next 3 years development will completely leave all coins behind that are out now leaving them useless.

I would only consider Etherum like a long term invest. The longer term the more you earn(propably).
You ask me why, because:
-Etherum loom large of new ICO's and the number of altcoins based on ETH blockchain is still increasing
-Etherum is a pioneer in the smart contracts field
-Etherum has a reasoned price and a half Bitcoin's capacity
So with that many factors ETH is a very promising candidat...

I think, it's not only for long term, because also now we can see high fluctuation of ethereum, so, if you have needed knowledge you can win on short term.

ETH is definitely a long term play, the best tech leader among the pub chains. It will probably take it several iterations to get to a high scalable, high capacity public smart contract enabled chain. The value of such a chain will be huge once it reach the target, but it will take them a long time to get there, therefore a long term play.

If you only wanted the trading pair then Ethereum is the best coin as it gives you movement on this coin very good. Daily 10 to 20% of difference you can get and that is enough to get profit on long term. |

It is clearly not the value that will experience the biggest increase. At least from now on. However many of its Tokens are very interesting! Perhaps even more than the Ethereum himself.
For me, I clearly can not put everything in one Corner. I am diversifying my portfolio tremendously.

Ethereum is the best investment even for long term investment. It is a matter how you manage your trading in ethereum. Since then it gives profit for traders who believes in ethereum.

i think the best way is to find few project that are good for short term day trading, and invest the earning in ethereum for long them.

I see ethereum as the most stable cryptocurrency in the market right now. Maybe it can fall from $380 like it did a week ago, but it has always been $250 - $400 in the last months.
So i really believe in ethereum, that is why i trust it more than bitcoin, and all my tokens are Ethereum based, they are stored in the same wallet.
Also it is nice to buy ethereum, maybe it gives you the illusion that it is gonna be $4000 in a few years, just like bitcoin did.

It's been $250-$400 in the last few months, forgive me but how on earth is that stable? $20+/- yes but $150 is not stable by a long shot. |

Ethereum is for long term, just buy at dip. Good luck  I have no dount in Ethereum even investing today. Yes ethereum is for a long term invest while you can and while the price is okay to buy. Hold and earn profit by holding ethereum for a long term. |

Yes eth now can be used for long term investment, but it still need more time to be as stable as bitcoin, eth still need more users because the price fluctuate a lot and hard to go up, but I believe if eth meet the right moment the price will go very high and I got no doubt it will be a valuble asset in the future
You have a point, the price is not yet skyrocket today. So I believe there is need time that price would be increase but holding is a good decision. Holding for a long term investment of ethereum will surely earn income. |

It is definitely a long term investment , as bitcoin and I think now it is the moment to invest in ethereum because it is still easy to mine it. After a few years it will be harder and harder to mine it and obviously its price will grow a lot. |

I think most altcoins have a good future though not all of them, as well as ethereum. but when viewed from its development ethereum has a good future because it is always in tandem with bitcoin, and precisely now many icos are using ethereum. |

Yes that's true! ethereum can compete with other cryptocurrencies and it is on top now behind bitcoin and bitcoincash, and it is good for long term investment. I also have eth that is hold for long time because I know that this crypto would be worth of fortune to me soon. |

Technically, Ethereum is much more than an investment. It isn't a simple crypto like the others. It is a currency which can be exchanged into hundreds, and soon-to-be thousands of tokens serving a wide range of companies. This is enormously valuable. Each day that passes I am starting to think ETH will eventually surpass BTC to become the #1 crypto. It is even more crazy to think that it was under $40 less than 6 months ago!!!

Ethereum is a different coin. It is not a regular buy&sell coin for me. It offers so many potential because ETH has some abilities /uses that no other coin has. For that reason eth will always continue to improve it sell and gain value. So it is ofcourse a long term investment but it's more than that. I have full trust for Ethereum.
