Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, it might hard for us right now but then we should not worry to the future, China is only just 20% I guess so we only have 80% left which is more important.. bitcoin wont stop, cryptocurrency is unstoppable!

This is more bad news from Bitcoin, whose price started to fall after China's regulators said they would ban all ICOs (initial coin offerings) in the country. that's why bitcoin is starting to go down and down, but for me its FUD News..

It's unclear whether there are plans, as some have speculated, to re-launch cryptocurrency exchanges in China under new rules, or the ban is permanent.

There is no need to put the china in such great position because they don't deserve it. They have been always pain by fluctuating the bitcoin by pumping and dumping of it. We have seen that many times in the past and why would we even care about regretting these country to get away from bitcoin world.

It's not like that, whether they can't control the bitcoin economy or other crypto currency but it's all about they just don't wanna take up the mess of hackers, illegal projects etc. That's good for them anyway.

China might be affecting us but not for long period of time. It could be just few months but not more than when the situation will be back to normal.

Any negative news that is happening in china, makes the global bitcoin market go down and need a long recovery. so far we are spoiled by the ease and contribution of developers, bitcoin users and investors from China so there is a strong dependence on the global, if we get used to it without them from now on, long-term effects will be great for bitcoin development. During this time china only take advantage of momentum, but now I think they really seriously reduce the volume of bitcoin in their country.

China has become the powerhouse for Bitcoin (and the whole cryptocurrency in general) as it is hosting many Bitcoin miners due to cheaper electricity and maybe also cheap labors. China also boasts of probably millions of Bitcoin owners and traders who are influencing the moves of the market on day to-day basis. As far as acceptance of Bitcoin in China, it is comfortably good until such time when the government decided that it is time to intervene.

In general, the Chinese government is not comfortable with Bitcoin as it indeed representing a different currency that they can not control with. since Bitcoin is decentralized it would be hard for the government to make interventions and so they are thinking that maybe it is time to ban it altogether. The government can not kill Bitcoin but what they are doing is actually closing the country as a market for Bitcoin.

So the question is: Can Bitcoin survive without China? In case, it can't then then there is something wrong with it since it is not resilient to ride the big storm it is in.

i think its not, (hoping its not too) , as you mentioned, bitcoin is a decentralized and it would be hard for the government to make intervention in it, so its not a big deal that these chinese government (probably millions of Bitcoin owners and traders) can totally affects and bring down the bitcoin in to his death. yes china is one of the big whale in bitcoin, but not just china can affects bitcoin in society, they are more big whales in the other country who totally supporting bitcoin, so even without china bitcoin not come/near into his death.

Good thing is china now has no more manipulations. Unless they make it ilegal to own bitcoin in china.

this is probably the only good thing coming out of all this and it is not a small reward either.

IF Chinese really ban bitcoin as the FUD suggests and they exit bitcoin for good (trading, mining, ....) there will be some temporary disturbance in the market and probably last less than a month but after that we will never have any issues like what we have experienced with Chinese FUD for years and years!
and with them gone we will have smoother rallies and more logical rise and falls instead. like what we had earlier this year when China was 100% out of the market with their exchanges closed for the first time.

They might still have a few tricks in store. There are rumors that an OTC trading ban is on the table. That means it would be impossible for Chinese miners to legally liquidate BTC to pay their bills. There are also rumors that the government might simply take over major mining operations. Presumably that would be bullish for Bitcoin in the long term.

There's also that leaked report about blocking the BTC network within China (subjecting it to the Great Firewall). Lots of FUD here, so I wouldn't say the manipulation is done with quite yet.

I don't think bitcoin will be dead without China at all. However, it is true that China was the powerhouse of bitcoin and other crypto currencies as well due to the failure of their government to provide a decent income to all. So Chinese people looked for other options to survive and thrive. That is the reason why we have seen a lot of Chinese money coming in to bitcoin.

However, with China's exit and stringent government norms, bitcoin market is receiving a shock and as a result, the price is going down. We are not sure about this current downward trend and we don't know when it will stop. However, once the Chinese money is filtered out of bitcoin, the fall will stop and we will have a stronger base to return back. The fall will eventually stop and it will give the rest of the world an opportunity to score bitcoin at a very low price to make super profit.

We won't die if china does ban bitcoins. Because bitcoin is around the whole world. And china will definitely allow bitcoins again in the future.
So we just have to believe in bitcoin and wait.

Exactly! Bitcoin’s value decrease because of them but it doesn’t mean bitcoin will be dead. Bitcoin does not rely only on China. Everything will be fine without China. Sooner or later, bitcoin’s price will rise up again like nothing happens.

Why would we be dead without China? The fact is that supplying to man ratio would be greatly changed if China were to burn all those going out just fine with the ones of us that have them. If you do not have Bitcoin right now that you probably will see a change in the value that it will make it profitable for you to buy right now

Now Japan become biggest crypto currency market
While Japan is the country with the biggest adoption, the truth is that China is still very influential, the Chinese investors hold most bitcoin in the world and when you add the fact that almost all the hash power is in hands of Chinese miners then we know we depend on China but this dependence is getting smaller as other markets accept bitcoin, like Japan, and also because the regulations coming from China are diminishing interest in bitcoin.
