No, I don't think so. Yes China is a country that really helps to increase the price or value of bitcoin. But it does not necessarily means that without China, the bitcoin value will also dead. It just happens that China is large country that is why it will have a huge impact in crypto market.
Agreed 100%, China really plays important role in increasing of bitcoin's price. Imagine, every their word can affect price immediately, they caused falls but finally they made current price and that's reality. But without china bitcoin won't die, won't be alive too. It will be hard to keep this price, it will fall because everyone in china will have to sell bitcoin and when you want quick sell, you have to lower price. Bitcoin won't be N1 currency without china and that's truth to my mind.

China has become the powerhouse for Bitcoin (and the whole cryptocurrency in general) as it is hosting many Bitcoin miners due to cheaper electricity and maybe also cheap labors. China also boasts of probably millions of Bitcoin owners and traders who are influencing the moves of the market on day to-day basis. As far as acceptance of Bitcoin in China, it is comfortably good until such time when the government decided that it is time to intervene.

In general, the Chinese government is not comfortable with Bitcoin as it indeed representing a different currency that they can not control with. since Bitcoin is decentralized it would be hard for the government to make interventions and so they are thinking that maybe it is time to ban it altogether. The government can not kill Bitcoin but what they are doing is actually closing the country as a market for Bitcoin.

So the question is: Can Bitcoin survive without China? In case, it can't then then there is something wrong with it since it is not resilient to ride the big storm it is in.

No we are going to be ok and bitcoin will move forward without China and now that the new fork is coming this  october 25 we are seeing a new surge in price so we are better with or without China , we still have Japan who's also a big stakeholder.

The Chinese federal government, which is all about centralization, is flexing it truly is muscles right now.ツ  The elections are coming up soon.ツ  When the president is re-elected, I expect the temper will change.ツ  Communism is about control.ツ  Crypto is the reverse of that.ツ  The truth that governments and huge multinational firms are railing in opposition to cryptocurrencies is a Great sign that they are scared.ツ  They know they can not management it!

I do not think so . A country can not defeat all countries if they hold 70% of the BTC. Prices may fluctuate but not much.

China is a huge market for crypto currency, but it does not mean anything. If China would have banned the circulation of the crypto currency, it would have continued to exist successfully in the rest of the world, flowing from China to these countries. However, China does not plan to ban crypto currency and therefore there is no danger for it. There work is under way to regulate its circulation within this country and its results will soon be seen.
Well I agree, and yes China is indeed a huge contributor in bitcoin and based from some statistics China has a huge impact in world's wconomic status and people here are being frightened since bitcoin have been banned in bitcoin as they say , but still bitcoin is still functional today , I think bitcoin is not dependently working on China but it has a huge effect when they banned bitcoin in their state.
But I think that china is not to control bitcoin because bitcoin is decentralized and free of any restriction and if china withdraw from bitcoin then bitcoin would still be keep continue his journey. Bitcoin is not depended on china, Chinese need bitcoin for their earning purpose.

China population is the largest population of the world and they face unemployment issues, therefore china need bitcoin not bitcoin need china so we are not to dead without china.

China isnt the heart of bitcoin that when china rejected bitcoin,  bitcoin will now stop breathing and going to die. I know china is were large investors are coming from but it doesnt mean that when china  rejcted bitcoin  its already the end.

i think we still can survive without china because people who use bitcoin not only china still many other countries.
I think bitcoin exists in different part of the world and has contributed a lot to many sectors.I firmly believe that bitcoin can still strongly survive even without China, because it is not only dependent with China or with a certain country. The progress of this campaign does not depend as to where you came from or what your societal status is.
As we know that china is big economy but still now the bit coin has no practical role in world economy that痴 why after banning the bit coin exchanges in china the effect on bit coin is negligible so the question that are we dead without china, the answer is no never, bit coin is alive and performing very well, its price is now much stable and the investor are now much comfortable that even the china ban can never effect their funds value in bit coin.

Yes, China had a major stake initially when bitcoin started and thus had a somewhat power to influence the market then. With their recent withdrawal from the bitcoin market, it has been quite proven that they are now of non effect to the behaviour of the market; except they come up with another strategy. I believe with this recent outcome, China will definitely be banning a come back into the market as Bitcoin is entering into its full adoption stage.

Well, we already know for sure that we don't need China. We've been doing pretty well for ourselves, even reaching an all time high.

All governments and central banks are against cryptos.
I think we will see a lot of turbulence in bitcoin. Does anyone sells VIX options on cryptosGrin

Indeed. I think without China we will still be functional as long as bitcoin is still functional there's no such thing to worry about, bitcoin depreciated when China banned all bitcoin accessibility and even exchanges but who knows that without China we can be even obtain higher amount of profit which people are very thankful about.

Yes, you are right for that, I think the Chinese people are not one of the most important parts in Bitcoin, the Chinese do not have the right to make Bitcoin die, without China Bitcoin will always live forever, because Bitcoin has great appeal and has Investors in some countries not only in China alone.

Thats correct, as we can see without china bitcoin can still increase its price like he see us the other days until now. Even without china there are still a lot of countries who continues to support it, so dont worry about china. Worry about the future of it.

Probably not the reason to make Bitcoin die, because Bitcoin has many communities in all countries, not only that all big investors who have a lot of Bitcoin will not let Bitcoin die just because China, if letting Bitcoin die they will get lost. . asset assets in their investments in Bitcoin, so everyone does not have to worry about it.

If we die because china is no longer a story about bitcoin, everyone will get rid of bitcoin because it costs no more than 1 cent, but the fact is the price now reaches $ 5700 and will continue to rise, evidence that bitcoin can not be controlled and banned.

I can say this straight without flinching: china is dead without us! Who are they fooling? Bitcoin is catering to the world in terms of crypto transactions, trading, and other services. People from all over the world are buying, selling, spending, exchanging, bitcoins. It continues even when china does not care, hell, even if china is wiped out off the map.

Yeah china is not only the country that is contributing to the market and everyone right now is using a mining hardware to earn more bitcoins for their own interest. China is a big help to increase the value of bitcoins but it would not affect everyone even it is gone.
i honestly think that a very small portion of the bitcoin userbase is currently mining; with the cost of hardware for it to be efficient and profitable, and the relatively small amount one gets out of mining, only a few hobbyists will go into mining for the relatively small amount of money they can get out of it. honestly, i think the majority of users either straight up buy the coin with their personal funds, or acquire them through work and services. as far as china goes, sure, they offer a huge potential userbase and avenue for growth, but china isnt everything. there's still the rest of the world that we can rely on, that's the beauty of decentralization.

It defenetly can survive. Bitcoin is going to grow also without China, the question is what would be the speed of this growth?
it can grow, but the real question is how shunted bitcoin's growth will be without china. china alone has an excess of 1.3 billion people, that's a huge chunk of a potential userbase we've lost.

Has anyone written a white paper on the politics (or effects) of crypto?  Would like to study this in more detail.
I have not read anything like that but that will be interesting, the most important aspect is how small countries are going to be affected by a currency that does not belong to any government, while big currencies like the dollar are going to keep on existing, I think there is the possibility that the currencies of weak countries are going to be undermined or even disappear thanks to bitcoin.
