Hi, Does anyone have any nodes for testnet please? Wallet HP14
Thanks
J

Hi minerja,

Sorry for the delay on your question about the testnet.
In addition to 89.201.185.138, also try 140.186.74.13, and 108.161.137.90

We're still mining the testnet and running a full public node to keep the light on Smiley

Go Datacoin!

Hi, the wallet gets 1 connection but they sits at 4 days behind...(works fine on real network)
I'm wanting to try cpu mining, and it seems to be the only way to do it now. Most standalone miners links seem to be broken or they use ypool (dead), besides i have no idea which is the "official" correct wallet,, and am getting really tired of having to wait 3-5 days re-syncing whenever i try a new wallet... (i only solo mine)

Hi J,

Here is the most current version.

Source code DTC 0.15.99-08: https://yadi.sk/d/nA7f5cWr3VSYDf
Windows binaries 0.15.99-08: https://yadi.sk/d/eu7rJ9EN3VSYBF

It will sync in well under a day Smiley
But you will find it crashes rarely (I only say rarely because if I say never, it will crash for you... lol... but note I run this in multiple computers and it has never failed me yet)

There is no way to do CPU mining that I can figure out with this wallet and mining software -- i simply solomine the testnet using an old gpu on very low power.

Kind Regards,
DataSea

Hi benxy031,

Thanks for replying. Timestamps seem to indicate my 8.6.0 node received 1dd0bf3866d04aca245a430cf6a1492df99ad873405bd4a62ff18ccc1ed00112 from you and the other Veter nodes and then banned them.
This is concerning and may be alarming if somebody else with the earlier wallet cannot disprove there may be anything wrong.

At the moment though, it would seem there is disagreement in the ComputeMinWork() aspect of protocol between the original code and the Veter wallet.

We're going to have to see what the other node operators are able to report and then evaluate some options to assess the situation.

-Chicago

Hi buny,

Thanks for asking. The concern is that there has been an observed consensus / protocol disagreement on the testnet which merits investigation so as to ensure parity between the versions of the software in use on our main network.

Hi Team!

Merry Datacoin Christmas!

We paid a month on Cryptoid to keep that fabulous block explorer up.

If you too are feeling the season spirit, you can pay a month or more here to keep the explorer going:
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/contribute.dws?coin=dtc
(note I get nothing for this, I don't own cryptoid, this is for Datacoin, we need this)

Also, we are still mining the main chain and the testnet.

In addition, I've completed more classes on computer programming, and my skillz are getting better.

I hope everyone is improving their skills during this crypto-winter and doing their part for the cypherpunk revolution!

Peace my friends,

And for the record -- the difficulty is lower than it's been in awhile, and the price is also very low.
The argument that there are some large holders of Datacoin, therefore we need a new algorithm is officially moot.
You can also be a large holder... Right Now!

Be one of the ones who mined and bought during the lows to keep the chain afloat -- we are . . .  Smiley

Hey DataSea,

Hope you are well. We (CryptoBates) just paid for a further 6 months of hosting. We are still following datacoin, though spare time is low these days!

Let us know if you want/need any updates on the website.

All the best

Really?

Have you looked at page 1,

There are links to the wallet
0.8.6 Wallet (Binary) Releases
for Windows, Mac and Linux
https://github.com/datacoinproject/datacoin/releases

the pools,
Mining Pools
NB:  You need one CPU thread for every GPU.
https://dtc.graymines.net
http://coinsforall.io/#!/coin/DTC
https://dtc2.graymines.net

mining guides, and everything you could need...
The pools even give you links to the best miner.

To cpu mine simply open the wallet, click on debug tab, and type "setgenerate true x" (where x is number of threads you want to use) type set, to stop all mining type "setgenerate false -1"

The first release of ByteStamp app for Android:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.mida.bytestamp

You can save a document for the proof of existence on Datacoin blockchain and verify it.

Only in Italian language for now, sorry.

English coming soon. Stay tuned.

Thanks

This is great. But description is not. Only says what Bytestamp does at half way. People have no patience, I suggest you write very simply what it is in first line so that more people will download.
