What I don't understand is if you are so unhappy with the coin and see very limited use in the future then why are you spending any time on this board?  I can't believe with all of the issues all these other coins are and have gone through you sit here and point out what you think are problems with Fastcoin.  As has been stated before most of the holders of Fastcoin are the strong hands and are not looking to sell so why spend your time trying to convince anyone here that this coin won't work in the long run.  We've been here for the long run so maybe you should either jump on board or move to any one of the other 1000 coins out there.  Sorry so harsh but the lack of movement and adoption of Fastcoin for the last 4 years had nothing to do with the coin functionality, it has to do with the naivety of the crypto space and it is now becoming apparent why Fastcoin has a solution for many of todays issues so there isn't anything you people can say to me that will change my mind and probably no one else's either.  Problems will arise and then get resolved so please either stop or move on?

thanks,
midnightrun

Where were all of you with your knowledge when it was flat for 2 years (2015-2016)? Classic: Detractors show up only when price spikes.
Reality is that facts are starting to flow in:
- new website (after 3 years of quiet)
- 2 exchangers and one more by weeks now (there has been a period with only 1 exchanger, and I think to remember zero exchangers in 2015 for some months)
- growing interest on the forum and here
- DevTeam is alive - a major event is supposed to happen Aug 1st

Oh, and no skandals for one of the  few "survival" to the 1st wave of cryptos, now 4.5 year old..... unless you consider skandal some few stuck transactions, which happens for every crypto, BTC included.

Wow, this community is pretty bitter. Good communities don't respond this way. We are asking good questions because we want this coin to thrive -- not just be a p&d. I'm invested in this coin and have been before the spike. If you can't look ahead and the dev team is not up to the challenge of mass adoption, this coin will be abandoned (I'm not saying this is the case). A good community recognizes these challenges and looks to address them, not shut down any critical evaluations or concerns.

I was able to download the entire block chain from block 1, but I downloaded the wallet about a month ago on one of my computers. On a second computer the other night I was having the same issue as some of the other people have posted recently and had to reinstall, after downloading the blockchain from the separate file.  Once I did that the wallet synced up within 30 min. or so though.

Is the node you synced successfully from block 1 with still running?

hi zip, yes the wallet that i synced from block one is up to day and running still.

FST is as functioning as any coin, give or take. My FST clients function quite well, the only exception is my Android client which currently won’t connect to peers.

As for the issues, thanks to all of you pointing them out, of course they need to be sorted, and I am confident they will be. You are not customers though, and this is not Customer Service. If you see issues, be as specific as you reasonably can, otherwise it easily becomes pointless. For anyone who wants to contribute, this shouldn't be a problem.

I mined this coin during 2013-2014. Back then there was a coin being released every other day. I chose FST because I believed in its features, and I still do, including the viability of a block every 12 seconds. Anyone doubting that part really should pick another coin, since this is the very essence of Fastcoin.

MisterMerci - regarding your question on the code - of course the code is available. Internet is your friend:

Gday,
First let me get this out of the way, I am a believer, I personally think this coin will have a bright future, and I will definitely hold a portion looong term. It has proven it can survive, now its time to thrive!

MisterMerci and midnightrun,s comments and questions are valid, before making an investment, most will want clarification and questions answered as best they can be.
Positive and negative feedback and input, are necessary for development, To grow we must take on adversity as a challenge to be overcome.
They are here because they can see potential and opportunity, like the rest of us.
I know nothing of code or would be trying to have some input, eg. a snapshot or 2nd genesis at block 10 000 000, to allow new wallets to syc from this point forward, as to make the wallet sync a little more user friendly for newcomers. I don't even know if this is possible.
Things evolve through finding strengths and weaknesses.
Onward and upward.

just got back here when looking in my watch list and noticed this thread is moving up be cause of activity.  This coin is my first coin I ever minted,  at the beginning even with solo mining! Ì will fire up my wallet and see if something is still there.  Good old remembrances to this coin!

Volumes speak: 100-200,000$/day - FST is entitled to be enlisted on most Xchangers.

Check here on each xchanger:
https://www.worldcoinindex.com/exchange

- Poloniex, 15 coins are under 100,000$ per day.
- Kraken, 10 coins under 200,000$/day
- Bttrex, more than half

Many others.

So, let's make hear our voices, email-bombing with request for FST listing!!!

Request Fastcoin to be added to Poloniex.
https://poloniex.com/coinRequest

Untill the block explorer is fully synced and up to date they will not even look at us, But once it is fully functional again, will fill out the requests on all the exchanges.

Quick question for the Dev(s). Are you guys currently working on the block explorer? Not sure how long it would take to update and fully sync it, but it sounds like that could be whats holding us back from having it added to other sites. I noticed people have commented about it for weeks
