Very interesting, but it probably has already been priced it, because regular users are the last to get the rumors and news. But in the long run it might give Bitcoin a good bump as this is what we are all waiting for - more and more companies to start accepting it, especially the big and popular ones.

I just saw this. I will stay skeptic until confirmed news. I mean it's possible. Remember when the fake news about Steam accepting Bitcoins appeared? Nobody was believing that Steam was going to accept Bitcoin, then it got confirmed as fake, but eventually news arose again and guess what, everyone said it was fake news again, but it happened for real. So what this means is, don't think it's fake because it may actually be true and if it's true we are going $10,000 easy.

"China bans Bitcoin" was also a fake news for a very long time, I think what is happening is that when people in government or some company start discussing possibilities about Bitcoin, it leaks thus creating rumors, which at some point might turn into news.

While this rumor is very good for everyone and it has been going on for a quite a while, I think Amazon should just come out and either confirm or deny the whole thing. But i will be hoping that they do start accepting payment with bitcoins because they will reach an international market when they do.

That will be a good start for bitcoin.  May it happen as soon as possible so that bitcoin will eventually be accepted in all the online payments. It will surely help to inform others that btc is more easier to use.

If Amazon starts using it then Ebay, Ali and the rest of these services will be, in some way, forced to also accept it as a payment method and the new age for crypto will begin.
Prices would skyrocket.

Given the size and reach of Amazon, I wouldn't be so sure that they will just accept Bitcoin or another pre-existing coin. They could launch their own coin with Amazon-specific perks and do pretty good.

If there are people trying to live off bitcoin entirely, that currently chose other shops that do accept bitcoin - amazon is losing customers.

It's not like they need to keep bitcoin and wire it through their systems - they can just transfer it into fiat on the spot, using existing solutions like Bitpay.
