Again, most who say it's not gambling simply don't understand the English definition of gambling.

How can any one possibly call bitcoin gambling, bitcoin is a currency and gambling is just a game of luck and smartness. Bitcoin had a face value and gambling does not have any value of it own and can not be exchange for any currency, bitcoin as a currency has the feature as currency that is it general acceptability and the ability to be use as a means of predicament for goods and services.

If you invest in a crypto because you believe that it has a long term future, then it is not gambling.
Day trading on the other hand (especially if you do not believe in the future of cryptos) IS a form of gambling, IMO.

If the only difference in your definition is the time frame, then it's still gambling. If you take 1 day to steal something or 10 years to steal something it's still theft. The same for murder, running, walking, breathing, etc.

Bitcoin is a digital currency and is also used on online transactions. Bitcoin trading can be a type of gambling (on my opinion) as it involves risk and chances when doing action prior to it. However, bitcoin trading is not illegal, and it's purpose is for transactions via online alone, therefore it can be seen on either way as it gives different meaning depending on how people analyze it.

Having to pay up to $54 in miner fees last month just to send a few bits of data across the internet shows that the mafia controls the miners and the development team writing the lightning network banking hub software shows that bankers are backing the mafia.
Sure it is gambling so now drink up some more moonshine and feed them roulette tables with the magnet under the table.

Maybe people see it as gambling because you have to take risk and need somehow to be lucky. I think tje difference in investing in bitcoin is you can watch and study the movement of it to the market then you can have the right stategy to do and make a sure profit. While in gambling, even you have the right strategy and know how your competition moves its still the luck is your biggest enemy, without it, you will lose a lot. We can never compare these two, because in gambling only house wins while bitcoin, all wins.

I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.
Yes, I agree with you. Bitcoin is not a gamble. It is a bitcoin. But the price of bitcoin is unstable, and it is changing at any time. If you invest in bitcoin, the process of investing is similar to gambling.

We can never compare these two, because in gambling only house wins while bitcoin, all wins.
The house in this case is the development team and the miners or did you think it was normal to pay $53 for each transaction last month and have you not studied the lightning network because that is a system of banking hubs. My friend that brought in when bitcoin was at $18,500 is not what you call "all wins" by any means and you seem to forget that bitcoin is now on a well established downhill trend but cannot understand that you have become an addict.

Gambling is not investing to the BTC. Gambling is every reckless investing approach. You can gamble with a Gold, FOREX, cryptos as same as you go to the casino and in otherwise you can earning money everywhere you choose if you do this with a reasonable approach.

It is not gambling. People think that it might be but this is mostly because of the huge ups and downs on the bitcoin price level. It will be stabilize in mid term in my opinion.

The ups and downs are indeed the reason for them to think that there is a gambling that is happening in bitcoin but they didn't know that the huge ups and downs are just part of bitcoin's market since it is decentralized and there is no regulation that maintaining a certain level of the price of bitcoin. But at the end of the day, it will not consider as a gambling because it is an investment and asset.

Investing on bitcoin might be considered as a form of gambling because it has risks. But the risk can be controlled and minimized to a very small level if one understands the how the market works and keeps himseld updated to current events that's taking place in crypto world.
