Bitcoin is not gambling

For a long time I am struggling to explain the difference of gambling and investing to people. When you gamble you don`t own anything, you just bet and when the game is over you don`t have anything but here even if the price decrease you own coins and you can wait or make another investment with the owned coins.

I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.

Gambling is a kind of games that some people are bieng addicted and this game is to risky  its either you loose your money or you win. Unlike bitcoin your are investing your money  and its very clear and safe that your money will earn more  profits. So bitcoin is not a gambling its an investment.

Bitcoin was not really a game for every one instead it was a way on how people can totally have an opportunity to earn money in terms of using their technological gadgets with the collaboration of having an internet connection to have an open access with it to start doing a job so you can have earn an income through it. Also, gambling was that a real risky game like you are playing in a casino to obtain money but if you are looking at Bitcoin same thing do not apply.

I dont know why they call it gambling, gambling is a waste of time and money and Bitcoin trading is investing money and time and getting a profit from it. Gambling is just losing money because you cant win, the house always wins. In trading, if you lose, you lose the difference between buying and selling.

It is not about gambling your money but about risking your money in investing because you might lost some of your investment due to volatility, corrections and bad news if you are being too emotional on the downfall

Only if they place online bets with Bitcoin then it would be considered as a gambling hobby, nothing else.

Some of us confused about Bitcoin is a gambling. Its not really i think. Millions of peple are investing money and time using internet for this digital currency Bitcoin. So, keep patience, observe, perform the tasks and see the output.

For me it depends on how the way you invest. it is gambling if you do short time or day trading it is not gambling if you are doing long term investment. it really depends on how you deal with your money in bitcoin

I guess it's not gambling, but considering the process is like gambling, you redeem your money to bitcoin where its value will go down and up every time. But what's the difference here if your gamble money will not increase when you lose, while the bitcoin is fixed just the same value is reduced.

Overall, it is not. But when you're looking at it in other perspectives, yes, it is. Some factors that contribute to Bitcoin and any other cryptocurrencies have a lot more gamble-esque type of scenarios, and I think that's what other people see it. We're talking about digital currency, a whole new upgrade of what we're used to. For me, investing and trading in or with it is a gamble. I mean, you're risking your money to maybe grow or not. That's one example of gambling.

Oh yes we are, are we? you guys are the smallest members of this huge body, mostly people here think of Bitcoin as their job, major investors wont care about internet because it doesn't cost them anything of significant value. their time is not wasted, they know how to manage their times. Bitcoin is gambling if you are going to invest a large amount of money but it worth every single dollar you gamble on it when price goes up. gambling part is because of the surprises of the market and fluctuations. BTC is a new game unlike any.

Day-trading though is a form of gambling, be it stock or cryptos. Just like with casino or online gambling, there are ways to control your risk and increase your odds of making a NET profit.
But its still gambling.

Investment though is different. If you have done lengthy research into a particular crypto, and decide to buy in to hold for the long term because you believe in its potential to grow, then that is investment.
