I wonder why should governments allow bitcoin to continue growing?
after all, they want to have control over the money that we are using

What do you mean allow? LOL like they have any choice in the matter they are helpless as the rest of us and must watch this ongoing. Simply no way they can stop cryptos not even with their biggest baddest foot down

They do have the resources to start a global FUD campaign... if they work together (which they usually suck at). Would be extremely interesting to see them try too. I doubt they would be successful though.

Governments allow bitcoins to grow, because many people help the bitcoins, many people have no work but  invest in bitcoins and get earn a lot of btc, many way and many reason government continue to grow btc in legal way.

Because of benefit considerations, when bitcoin is left and bringing positive benefits to citizens such as reducing unemployment, it certainly makes governments think of continuing to let bitcoin grow.

Bitcoin should take considerations on allowing bitcoin community to grow, or all of the cryptocurrency to grow because not only it helps people in financial status but also it helps to lessen people who haven't have job. Unemployed people can have a way of earning even though they don't have any job. Bitcoin is a great asset in the community.

The technology behind the blockchain is revolutionary. The real question is why wouldn't governments want bitcoin to grow? Bitcoin can solve a lot of the world problems that regular currency is currently facing.

Bitcoin has proven to help a lot of people especially unemployed people nowadays. Because the government can not directly control all transactions with bitcoin where we know that bitcoin is global, so the government just let it grow as an investment choice for its people without giving any response to the bitcoin owner. Can we make sure the government does not want to be responsible for losses that occasionally hit a bitcoin user? But by letting it grow then the government did not forget to keep monitoring its development because at any time bitcoin could be dangerous or beneficial for a government.

True government never want to take some responsibilities about bitcoin but they let it to grow than banning it so while they letting it grow if some take a concern about bitcoin in the government i think that they are no take some action about it. i short they let bitcoin but they dont let people to take just to make a concern.

Right. It will be helpful to allow bitcoin to grow than banning it. They see how the government will benefit on it too not only the user of it. They just have concern that bitcoin will not use for illegal purposes which cannot be eliminated. The government should accept bitcoin with open hands because it help their people to have a good living.

If any country here are involved in bitcoin its good for their economy because we can earn here and good for transaction like bank and you can also save your money here i think the more good here is good for past time while having an earnings in some kinds of work here than do something like play computer games

I also think about the same thing for bitcoin. The government maybe not making bitcoin as a full legalized currency as of now but they are surely buying bitcoin for investment and profit purposes. The government has a lot of researchers for possible opportunity to be grabbed that will give them a good amount of profit and they found bitcoin for one of the best so they buy it and doing some test on bitcoin before accepting it as a full legalized currency.

Because cryptocurrencies can be the key and that last push that can put a country in top with a lot of investors really looking at bitcoin on something to integrate on. HOwever that is a big if and the world is taking notice of the volatility and they would want to regulate it.

In truth, Fiat currency don't have any connection to Digital currency at all. So no matter how high the value of Bitcoin is, that doesn't affect the price of any Fiat currency. Because Digital currency or the cryptocurrencies are decentralized, no one is monitoring it whatsoever.

So basically the government wants is that they wanted to take control out of it, which is impossible. So what they did was, they accept it and somehow they make an idea on how they can tax people for it, pretty cleaver.

because there is nothing wrong with bitcoin! it is a perfectly legit currency doing its thing very well.
because government has no other choice, bitcoin is a decentralized currency that will continue to grow whether the government wants it or not.
because so many different countries have already accepted bitcoin and any government that doesn't will be left out and behind the adoption curve of this new technology.

I am completely agreed with the above comments, bitcoin is a technology and the governments should support/adapt like accepting currencies from different nations and allowing purchase of gold/expensive things from different countries with certain amount of taxes.
If bitcoin is saving several legal/banking procedures and efforts to convert the currencies with a safe and faster ways its an advantage and should be promoted and legalised with certain protocols to help nations economical growth.

a news appear in television here in Philippines that bitcoin is used to scam.... but that is not the point
the thing is a government official who has the knowledge about virtual currency which we all know crypto
and he say that it is legal at all.. I think solving math problems are not way or reason government shut down the bitcoin. and I think bitcoin helps the goverment too . example taxes after we convert to fiat right?
