Cause 199 is way to much in my opinion, for 100k to be blocked

The white paper has always stated 199 days for that dollar range:

I think they wanted to make sure the ecosystem is designed to make the coin last a long time.  Although its certainly longer than other programs, it will be more sustainable in the long run.

i think it depends on what you have lended. for example, you have lended btc so you get back btc. if you lended credence coin the website will give you back in crndc.

I think lending will drive up the price of the coin though.  Lets say I want to lend $10K and I use BTC to convert to CRDNC.  Because of the tight supply it doesn't matter how much I pay for the coin because I'm still getting $10K to invest.  So if there are several sell orders with increasing amounts, I would swoop in and buy them all in order to get the $10K.  You start to get several lends going on and the price of the coin will continue to rise.
