Some people seem to be really emotionally invested in their investments and or expecting to be overnight millionaires.

I dont think this coin is doing badly since it is mostly under the radar atm, all i see on the other "faster" sites is "Locked for Maintenance"...thats worse then what we have now, control of our own coins.

How does staking work? I just need to leave the coins in my wallet? When do I get the coins for staking - every day?

You have to go to settings and encrypt wallet. There you will put in a very strong password. Then once you are done with that you unlock your wallet and it will start staking in about 1 minute. Once that is done you can check your weight increasing in the bottom right of the wallet by putting your mouse over the up arrow. My first payout took about 1 day, and I have got them every day. You can close your wallet and not lose any of your staking because your coins gain weight by verifying tx's and when you open it up next time it will "catch up". I usually just have mine running for part of the day or maybe even just a few hours. You can even leave it off for multiple days and you still will not lose any of your staking, but if you get your staking coins everyday they will start to compound. At 1 year you will earn 24% for staking I know it is set at 20% but if you get coins every day they will compound and you will actually earn 24% per year. Your payouts seem random so you wont be able to predict when they will happen.

Shouldn't the dev be doing this with the ICO funds? What's the point of claiming on the website the coin would be worth a few dollars etc when it hits the exchange (probably an illegal act in itself according to electroneum founder which is why he can't talk about the price as he says it's highly illegal) when the dev can easily buy off these coins and set a higher sell price (doesn't have to be more than the price he claims it would sell at).

Another thing, this dev is a complete amateur. He lives in a country where, if done properly, his coin and ICO would be totally legal. He instead botches it all up and even claims in the whitepaper he wants to evade tax.

Seeing all the posts like above from users about their own misguided information really says something about their maturity toward a volatile scene.

Some people should do some more thorough reading instead of thinking they are 1337 as shit when it comes to opening their mouth about certain things, I'm still reading every day and don't know everything but I can tell you I have a much more vast knowledge then the majority of anyone who has posted in this thread.

Credence would greatly benefit if they hire CEO who can do talking, ICO  made them 1M, all they need to do is pay some smooth talking dude in suit 50k and he will do amazing job , coin will go 50x-100x in 3 months. Good PR  seems to be the weakest link with lending platforms.

Coin is trading above ICO price it was mostly 0,25 and 0,50. I think its a great success without website done and not much youtubers talking about it yet. Its better for credence to have a slow organic growth rather than an initial pump and dump.
