How can Bitcoin help the developing world?

Bitcoin can help developing countries by backing up their local currency in lieu of gold.

Aside from having a higher price with gold per oz. Bitcoin has a higher potential for an increase in price than gold. Having a bitcoin as an assurance of wealth for that country wlill help as long as other country will support them.

It may be another thing that a country use to support their currency and might give a higher reward for them.

Countries needs to have a gold reserve to support their currency and the value of their currency will be proportional on the value of the gold that they have so if the price of gold went down their currency will be affected. Since on if you have an accepted currency that can supports your own like bitcoin with a price that increases fast it can help you on developing your country.

Their are many ways in which bitcoins are actually helping this world.
They are providing people more financial freedom and privacy that is offered now by banks , no one can peek into our accounts without our permit.

Most of countries are against Bitcoin and trying to ban it . I don't think bitcoin can help world especially  if you talk about developing on government level.On the other side if you look at its wallet like block chain and some other you'll find it can give a lot of benefits to world. Like people can use it as a bank and transfer money one country to another without any fee and delay.

Yes bitcoin is making transactions easier, you can have the money fast wherever in the world, bitcoin helps commerce grow, it improves the wealth of many people, but I do not believe that it will make a better world.

All the poor people in Africa would buy a few thousand coins at the moment.
That's the problem of being poor. You can;t afford anything, you can't afford food, medicine, water, clothes , nothing.

Those poor people in Africa couldn't even afford a tx .
A standard tx with 2 inputs and 2 outputs in the next 24 blocks would cost you 1.41, almost all of your daily earnings.
