The next block coin halve is near, and due to the rapid distribution of Infinitecoin, people are asking the question how to maintain the IFC mining going. Some people proposed to increase the minimum transaction fee to 10 IFC (from 0.1 IFC now). Of course this applies only to the transaction that has a fee. Some transactions (small amount or not frequent) are free and they will remain the same way. I think this is a good idea, at some point the transaction fee will become an important part of the mining. This applies to all coins, but with rapid distribution of IFC, it becomes an important issue to resolve. I am thinking to release an updated version soon (this week), to implement this feature. It will become effective starting from a fixed date such as September 1st. This will happen after two more halves (including the one coming in a few days). So the community will have enough to download/update or compile the new client. Please post your opinions or comments, let me know whether you like this idea or not. I want to make sure most people (>50%) like it before I release the new version. hi fisheater, yes the transaction fee will become an important part of the mining. can you/ can somebody estimate how much infinitecoins would the fee produce for the miners a day/a month? thanks!

Is anyone seriously working on putting an official forum together for IFC? I see a handful of sparsely used half forums.

Thanks for mentioning about the block explorer, 11danman11. I've been trying to get things back up since reading your message earlier tonight but the cloud server where the block explorer lives seems to be having issues....I've been doing some checks and think it may be a hardware problem but I'm awaiting a reply from the hosting company before I know anything for sure. Hope to get the block explorer back up soon.
(My pools aren't affected by the way as they live on a different cloud server).

after restart it was 184381/184381
I wasn't sure what to think but figured i should report it to people and see if others had the same issue

not 100% sure but I think it was trying to download the LTC blockchain there is a number you have to change when you make a clone coin and nobody is changing it

A quick update on the block explorer - apparently there is a storage server which is under high load where the primary disk of ExploreTheBlocks' cloud server is located. The hosting company will be moving ExploreTheBlocks' cloud server to a less loaded SAN which should solve the problem.

Selling coins for paypal payment is the "Trusting" side of that equation.

I am bit confused Total amount advertised is 90.6 billion http://coinmarketcap.com says that there are already 69.7 billion mined so only 19.9 billion left? when it will be reached? in 1-2 months?

How do we get IFC in the BTC market in Cryptsy? When going from USD -> BTC -> LTC -> IFC it takes a chunk of my investment by the time I can buy IFC...

Perhaps we can ask for a Devcoin/Infinitecoin pair? From what I understand some of the best proposed projects I have seen to bring IFC forward involve integration into gaming systems which would require a lot of help from developers. What better way to create that relationship early by creating a link in the economic flow directly to the leading development oriented cryptocurrency chain? This would not only foster the good will of Devcoin holders and supporters, it will create an easy avenue for liquidity between Devcoin and Infinitecoin users, with a currency valuation that makes sense logistically (not too many zeros).
If anyone sees Vern on Cryptsy please bring this up to him and see what he thinks.

Seeing the price jump today like it did, 300 doesn't seem that far away. Perhaps we can ask for a Devcoin/Infinitecoin pair? Creating games sites for IFC would be something people could do in just a few day's.... If that would bring the value up, not only would the developer of the game make money, it would increase the value.
