I also suggest hard fork.
A hard fork plus paid mining to reach it quickly, resurrected GLDcoin from complete death and it gained 1000% in value later.
All open-source coins are community and "democracy" based. If somebody thinks that the fork is a good idea (and I do so), then the best way is to compile and release updated client, announce the block number and time expected of the fork and let the community choose - if majority, pools and exchanges upgrade, the rest will generate orphan or invalid blocks, and the coin will gain its value back.

EDIT: Poll added https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=292250.0

The bastards have ditched IFC and will do the same with ADT and any other alt they get their grimey insider trader hands on.

When I realized yesterday that, 1 block/ 524288 ADT = .33 LTC, I thought... GTFO ! Its IFC all over again.

Its probably best that we just let this one ride itself out and instead, concentrate on other alts.

You won't catch me mining any fisheater/zachclark/treasureseeker coins ! Tongue

lmao you do know i was never a DEV on IFC right ?

ADT was made by shake for jag and i am just helping out with the coin / run the forum

who the hell is treasureseeker  ?

if fish eater is gone i will happily pay someone to hardfork IFC and save it if you look back on this thread the reason i leave IFC alone if because the IFC community don't want me here if i had had there support when snaz did a runner and left me out of pocket this coin would be doing a lot better now

hey guys, long time lurker, 2nd time poster.

HARD FORK THIS COIN!

I am sick of spending my time and electricity mining this coin at high diff, 120 blocks at a time, just to have the diff drop and let coin hoppers strip mine the hell out of IFC.

One thing these alt coins have taught us is that you NEED a faster diff retarget. 120 blocks does not cut in in the days of auto-switch pools.

IFC was the first coin to introduce large block reward. People thought it was a joke, but it has been very profitable to mine and trade. Other coins like ADT and COL have followed suit, however they have fast retarget times and can survive flash-mining.

I vote for a hardfork. If the majority agree, we dont need fish eaters approval. He is smoking some good crack if he thinks that 120 block retarget is a good thing. Once autoswitch pools raped IFC, it went from a high of 420 and a market cap of over $600,000 to trading sub 100 and a market cap of less than $200,000.

I will chip in a few coins to whom ever the IFC community decides will hardfork this coin. fisheater should do it for free so he gets nothing, anyone else that steps up to the plate will get paid.

*************************************************************************************

Let's give the floor to Fisheater!

Perhaps he remained silent because he does not know how to make a fork. There's no problem with it.
Maybe he has some other reason.
In any case, he must as soon as possible  tell us about the plans and confirm it's further participation in coin.

Let's wait for 1 day,so that he was able to answer our questions  and only then will take a collective decision (via poll and making development plan)

I knew I had seen your name somewhere lol

some people on here have no idea who does what

would be good to fix IFC as its never good when a well liked coin dies

I will add 25,000,000 IFC to the hard fork bounty as long as the fork is not made by or comitiond by fisheater Smiley

Heju, thanks for your support as always.

Guys, I received some PMs and saw some comments blaming that I did not do enough for the coin. Well, when the coin is up, everyone is happy. But when the coin is down, the dev always gets the blames.

First, let me say that I will always support the coin on the technical side as needed.

Second, I am not a market guy, and I don't do specifically marketing and promos. I don't think this is the force driving the coin price. Coin prices in cryptsy are mainly driven by the traders, who periodically do pump-and-dump games. Marketing can boost a coin price temporarily, but that won't be lasted. WDC, DGC, and many others are examples.

Each coin has its own course, it goes up and down. For any alt coins to really get close to BTC or LTC, is only a dream at this time. This is the reality. IFC as compared to many other alt coins, has some advantages, the main two advantages are great community and good dev support, besides the originality of the coin (which has been copied by others recently).

IFC may have problems. Any issues, as long as the community thinks as a whole need to be improved/fixed, I am willing to work on it. I see there's a vote going on for the retarget interval, there are talks on the transaction fees etc. Please report issues and make suggestions. Though I originally created the coin, the IFC really belongs to this community.

I rendered some new logos for IFC, keeping the old style but getting rid of the cheesy looking pixel art over vector art. I hope you guys like them. Please no hot linking.
