Oh Ye of little Faith. IFC is the Crytpo dollar. Bitcoin was an instamine coin. Now its a corporate entity all of its own. It seems Bitcoin has lost its vision of decentralized currency. Something IFC has not. BTC
How does this IFC council and it's gatekeeper make this coin any different ? Did you forget how easily fisheater was willing to hand this over to that project infintite scam ? Faith is for centralized authority luvin noobs. Lets give experience and common sense a go for a change. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) [/quote there was no handing anything over to project infinite it was completely separate to the actual coin project infinite itself was not a scam it would have worked well if snaz had not run away with all the project files the only person that got scammed was me as I was left to pay ahmed and threeip 1.5btc each + a £38 a month sever contract IFC will soon start to have problems as the block reward starts to get smaller I suggest that people start thinking about how to solve that problem

HippieTech I've got to be honest with your relentless with the arguments and wild accusations that basically don't mean anything, the coin has a fair distribution. The IFC council is to progress development and upgrade the coin, we are not gatekeepers someone has to lead the community of a coin, like any other coin. All we are trying to do is make the coin succeed and your negativity is relentless, I have no idea you have never been scammed by IFC no-one has treated you badly you just continue to damage the coin. Anyway from this point I just cannot take you seriously, I don't know why you decided to attack this coin and I probably never will. The mining process was fair (this is coming from a guy that didn't actually mine the coin in the first place/a member of the team who has given away millions to people in the IFC community and other communities).
Maybe try and help and add some value instead of bashing? You've been on this forum for 4 months trashing the coin, and even on the IFC forums trashing the coin. Personally I think you invested big and have been disappointed by no crazy growth as you expected.
Again, IFC has a large positive motion towards world integration and that of 3rd world countries so we are progressing that and services are being worked on in the background along with developments to improve the coding of the coin.
Thanks to everyone that keeps supporting!

Hello@all, I am trying to start mining infinitecoin on Windows XP SP3. I followed the steps in the very first post, and in step 3 I get this error: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bilder-upload.eu%2Fthumb%2F3bdbaf-1382636159.jpg&t=663&c=HDMCIsE41oXKsQ) The error-message says (google translation): Error setting up RPC port 9322: open: it has been used an address that is incompatible with the requested protocol. I used for the infinitecoin.conf the posted sample (username and password set): listen=1 daemon=1 server=1 rpcuser=**Yourusername** rpcpassword=**Yourpassword** rpcallowip=10.1.1.* rpcport=9322 rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 addnode=xx.xx.xx.xx What should I do to correct this? Thanks in advance!

Block explorer is fine. Additionally contrary to your "expert" opinion Zack the coin does not need to be changed. All that needs to happen is transaction fees need to be increased.

All of three nodes publicized on official site are off.

you are right in a years time there will be nothing to keep people mining unless there are changes made to the coin I have been mining IFC off and on for a while because it was so profitable. It is now only about 75% as profitable as Litecoin to mine because the reward is now 32768. It will be half that next month and will be about 30% as profitable as Litecoin mining, based on current value. I honestly don’t see how this trend is sustainable. Even if transaction fees were higher, would they really be high enough to make it more profitable to mine than other coins? Maybe I am missing something here though.

I always used to have 8 active connections EDIT: After reverting to October backup it synced to main chain. I suggest to improve the client in this way from GLD (idea of new defense system + fixes) to prevent unexpected forks: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=618.0
