Additional income is the main purpose of giving out free tips because you can see any reputed tips provider will have a one paid service as well. They know that direct betting always got some risks but if get this additional income it is always safe no risk of losing your hard-earned money. But all should know that no one can predict 100% accurate and everyone is doing a guessing game based on their knowledge.

I think people share tips either because:

1) They genuinely want to help other people;

2) They indirectly want to solicit better tips from more skilled people;

3) They want to make a difference by sharing their knowledge;

4) They believe they can gain more from it;

5) They want to check how well others do by getting a glimpse of their statuses;

6) Others.

How about others? Any more that you can add up to this? I am no expert but I am surmising these are the very reasons why some people share tips when in fact they should value what they call 'trade secrets'.

People are different on their perceptions in life this is why we would really expect different reasons why do people give it for free willingly or give it for free at first and changed later on to paid service.
Each tipster do have different motive either for extra income or money or just purely helping others to win up a certain game.

I can see many people giving their tips in this forum for free and everyone has his own purposes of giving that for free but I think that most of them have no need to get money from that . I think most of tipsters need maybe confirmation from some people who have much more knowledge of that bet or maybe to get advice from that because everyone has his own opinion on games and sometimes getting advice is much better than taking wrong decision and lose money . In my case I created a thread for sport prediction just to tray to help people and maybe to get advice also before betting on some game . I will give you the link to my thread . Maybe they just want to help others.
They wanted to share the blessing that they are receiving in gambling.
They are not selfish unlike the other that was driven by greed.
They also maybe want to be humble by sharing their techniques.
So that many people with love them and treat them as a friend.

If I am only good in gambling then for sure I will be sharing tips but I do not want to standpoint people now because I believe and I am honest that I am not yet in the level where I am already consistent in gambling, maybe in the future but I doubt it would be easy for me because I have been gambling for years and yet I haven't still have the confidence that I can be consistent.

Not all the tip are winning tips. Some are just giving out tips on how they enjoy their experience while gambling in a very effective way. It always feels good when you help someone with how the way you handle things before and at the same time sharing your winning moment. After all you taught them its all go down with the "LUCK" because gambling is unpredictable, anything can happen, your experience is just an edge but doesnt guarantee you a 100% of winning chance.

I think tips about gambling is of no use because gambling needs skills, techniques and tricks which I think is not shareable and many gamblers keep all his experience about gambling in secret. If somebody share some tips about how to gamble and how to win hence newbie will never get fruit from those tips. Everything in this world needs practice and you will be perfect when you practice daily.

In my experience my friend use to give me lot of tip what not to do from that I understand what to do tips are more essential to everyone so that we can avoid lot of loses in our life.

Exactly, tips are not guaranteed. As you said pro gamblers sharing their tips to help the beginner to make some money, somtimes they share it with money but i see a lot of scammers which they shares wrongs premuim bets and they scam a hundreds of peoples.

Tips are just the guideline to avoid things which will make a quick quit from your side. As you said, these are not guaranteed tips and I agree with you because on the spot, only the efforts will help the gambler to make a win and his luck also.

If he would be having control on both of the things, then nothing in the world can stop him to make a win from it because these two are the most important factors in gambling.

And since it does not cost them a thing to do, I do not see why not.

Easy answer really is there no sure tip.    My own self interest in sharing my tip is that someone might also give honest feedback or at least insult my poor choice correctly, say you are totally wrong and point how I have assumed something incorrect.    Then I save some money, of course thats the ideal and there is a ton of noise and fan logic!    

Part of why people post a tip or just their bet is to confirm they are certain in their thinking.  

Scientifically, when one makes things happen, some grandiose feelings set in. You feel you are the boss, and that you are in control and this phenomenon subconsciously helps you to win more by making better predictions. So as you give more tips and you help people win, you also get motivated to make more better predictions the next time.

Yes I agree.  Also just the simple form of writing down readible text for others, its a form of revision.   Juggle everything in your head and you can take silly risks, writing things down kinda alters matters

You have a point in that, but for me, why some people are sharing tips because they are aiming to help those people that doesn't really have a strategy in order to survive in gambling. But aside from that, why they still keep sharing tips, especially for a newbie because they also promoting the gambling site which they might have paid in secrets.

I do not really understand why such a thing is being questioned? I mean why just share tips are questionable? Is there a problem with that? Is helping others it wrong? Until questioned like this. Is this question is a form of suspicion OP against people who always share tips?

Sharing tips in my opinion is something that lots of people ignore since they'd rather spend money on bets according to their speculations , where's the fun if you don't do the whole thing and just put money on someone else's opinion ?
And lots of people pretend they got fixed results which turns to be a scam 99.99% of the time .
So just place bets that YOU decided to place , not someone else . Even loosing to someone else's opinions feels worse !.

It's good to see those people who shared tips, this can only show that still there are people who are not selfish on how to become successful in a certain thing. So thank you for their tips because we learned a lot of things especially when we want to be successful and earned money. Our success is also their success.
