Some of you are really hot headed. The website just had an issue.Communication and a little patience will solve most problems.

Every business has to deal with issues and work around damage control when these happen. Bitfinex seems to be doing well but it won't be all ok with the click of a finger.

Go play with yourselves release all that testosterone that is raging you. Wink

Hi R & G!

i think its way too long.. let me tell u my story

I MADE A NORMAL WIRED WITHDRAWAL OF 5000USD ON GMT+8 FEB 3 8:43AM AND IT WAS IMMEDIATELY APPROVED, THE STATUS CHANGE TO PROCESSING (NOT YET PROCESSED) AND AFTER 1 DAY AT SAME TIME GMT +8 FEB 4 8:43AM THE STATUS STILL PPROCESS BUT THIS TIME ROUND THE NOT YET PROCESSED IS NOT THERE.. TODAY IS ALREADY GTM +8 FEB 7 7:50PM ITS BEEN MORE THEN 3 BUSINESS WORKING DAYS AND I BELIEVE THE BANK IN SHANGHAI IS THE SAME TIME AS MY COUNTRY WHICH IS GMT+8.

THE WEBSITE STATED :
Wire withdrawals will be processed within 3 business days, unless you request the option "Express". In this case, they will be processed within 1 business day, for 1% of the amount request.

IT'S STATED CLEARLY WITHIN 3 BUSINESS DAYS SO I DO NOT KNOW WHY MY WITHDRAWALS NEED TO WAIT VERY LONG, BEFORE THIS NEW EXPRESS WIRED WITHDRAWAL FEATURE WAS IMPLEMENTED IT ONLY TAKES 46 HOURS TO REACH MY FRIEND'S BANK WHICH I LIVE THE SAME COUNTRY AND HAVE THE SAME BANK AS HIM AND THAT TIME ONLY COST 10 USD.

WHY SO SLOW? BECAUSE I CHOOSE NORMAL ? REALLY HOPE U GUYS CAN DO IT FAST.. its been 5 WORKING BUSINESS DAYS

now i lost 5 days of interest of 5k usd which cost 50-70usd.. and my time!

pm me for my username in bitfinex I WANT TO KNOW WHATS THE PROBLEM

Welcome to my life. Not only they don't cash out your money, but they don't allow us to cancel it and at least be able to change back to BTC and leave their site.

Another exchange following Gox's steps.

i am still waiting for R & G TO REPLY

Short message

Please respond to my PM
Please give my money back

And Ps remark to murphy's law
"if there's more than one way to do a job and one of those ways will end in disaster, then somebody will do it that way"

If you know there can be a problem why don't you have a double system, not a single man system.
Don't come with an answer he was on the plane....

Probably to a country with a non extradition treaty

I hate these remarks, do your job...

I replied to your pm.

Thank you and have a good day

I am completely speechless. Binfinex has STOLEN over $5,500 in USD and 240 LTC from my account. I was short leading up to the incident last night and able to close my position well before the wild swings began. This is the kind of dip that many of us have been waiting for and Bitfinex decides to arbitrarily cancel all trades?  The hacker story makes a nice excuse, but there was a legitimate sell off that got exacerbated by margin calls. That's why I here to begin with, to use the leverage. I've been a loyal user on this exchange and there was no refund for me when I was long 1,500 LTC before things got ugly back in December. Why should it be acceptable for me to fund those losses when the Bitfinex LTC exchange printed a .0001 back then? That was Bitfinex's mistake just as much as allowing someone to hack the website, if that is indeed what happened.  I will be closing my account and taking any and all legal actions available. I suspect there is more to the story and I intend to find out what it is. Ultimately, it's this type of thievery and abuse that will prevent this exchange from being viable in the future, and it is an example of why crypto in general is suspect. In not honoring the legitimate trades and standing by it's users Bitfinex has lost all credibility and in my opinion is no better than the hackers.

so many newbies spitting nice words, most of them at their first message.....
after I ask for their username they all disappear like snow in the sun....
can you please PM your username to me so that I can check your position?

Thanks

Giancarlo, I just sent you a PM with my username.  Please let me know if you need anything else.  Thanks.

Hi Giancarlo, I just sent you another PM, are you receiving them? I haven't heard anything back since you first asked for my username. I know you are probably busy with multiple requests, but I would really like to sort this out so I know what my next steps should be.  Please let me know if you need anything else.  Thanks.

In 2 days this will be buried and people don't even know about the other, already closed thread in project development. If you want to learn about screwups, prepare for a nice read.

Trusting this forum (that regularly 502s) to deliver PMs and thinking they are an official way to reach Bitfinex is... not a smart idea. Send E-Mails and/or contact them on their own support forum if you reallly need to reach someone.

You clearly underestimate - at least my - capability for annoying the hell out of someone that did me wrong.

You can be certain that if they don't give me back my money, in a year from now, I'll still be pinging this thread regularly and talking about their screw up and the unprofessional way they are handling the matter.

Does Bitfinex have a streaming API for market data?

I often notice bots placing orders next to mine pretty much immediately after i place mine, do they poll at a multihertz rate or is there some streaming api we don't know about?

Thanks for a great service!

Yeah, that is correct. You may notice it shows zero when you have a long position at less than 1:1 leverage, this means you won't get liquidated no matter what price does. If you've got more size on or if short then it shows the price you wiil get liquidated at.

The liquidation price is the price at which your position will be closed in order to guarantee the liquidity provider not to incur in any losses

I hope this helps
