Trading is halted, as stated above. Will be active in some minutes again.

Hm, was the flash crash at Bitstamp caused by Bitfinex liquidations or is it a coincidence?

Here's your cause for all this:

tl,dr:

We have discussed this solution with the Bitcoin core developers and will allow Bitcoin withdrawals again once it has been approved and standardized.

Welcome to the club.

Meanwhile Raphy and G are busy arbing between bitfinex and bitstamp, instead of fixing this shit.

You lost a lot of good will these last week or two, bitfinex.

I will point out, non-gloatingly but matter of factly, (and I don't give a f$ck about the verbal abuse I'll get from Giancarlo) that in the past 2 months, Bitstamp tends to behave *a lot better* under pressure than Bitfinex.

Not sure which Bitcoin wallet you should use? Get Electrum!
Electrum is an open-source lightweight client: fast, user friendly, and 100% secure.
Download the source or executables for Windows/OSX/Linux/Android from, and only from, the official Electrum homepage.

Don't hold your breath. And for anyone who got luck during the crash, they'll probably roll those back too.

It's up $130 from the low now..  We could have covered our shorts at $535 if the site worked.
