i am providing liquidity in USD, however my local currency is EUR. can anyone recommend a cheap way to hedge EUR/USD so i can be immune to exchange rate swings?

open a usd short position with eur. obviously you need another market for that

Giancarlo / BitFinex Team:

How about a Streaming API,

The API at   https://www.bitfinex.com/pages/api

Is not a "Streaming API",

And it's really stopping Charting Sites such as:

http://TradingView.com

https://rtbtc.com/

From including BitFinex Charts with Indicators.

This would really help us "TRADERS" out quite a bit !

Thanks !

Everyone is trying to use a Stamp Chart to chart BitFinex
and with the BFX recent changes of becoming more independent
from Stamp that really no longer works, we need our own BitFinex charts, specifically http://TradingView.com BitFinex Charts.

Why have Bitfinix admin/support Continuously been ducking & avoiding the questions about BITFINIX ADDRESS, # NUMBER & LOCATION??
Support, can you please state it here on your website? Why are you so afraid to tell about this.
It's easily available from the HongKong business registry, if you really need that stuff - much more trustworthy from there by the way instead of from BFX themselves imho.

Yeah, it's a good think HKs business registry is public. Still think Bitfinex should put the info online tho. Why not?

They have already put the company address in the fiat deposit page.

However, that address probably is just a proxy address (some sort of proxy secretarial service, you may think of a virtual office). No staff of Bitfinex would be working there as their real physical office should be in somewhere outside Hong Kong.

So, is it really important to put the company address info online?

If MtGox #2 happen, yes. I would like to visit them and have a chat or two.

Just as a tip: They are likely not living in HongKong, just look at their business address + registrant name...

Today at http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/v2/markets/info

Exchange #1 in the world: Okcoin
Exchange #2 in the world: BITFINEX
Exchange #3 in the world: Bitstamp

It must be noted that

a) That site does not include a lot of exchanges, most notably Huobi
b) Those numbers include all pairs and the fact that BFX has LTC/BTC and LTC/USD is why it's shown to have higher volume than Bitstamp.

It's still pretty good imho.

A lot of todays volume is probably just that woman who flashed 2 x 5000 BTC orders at 630 and 633 earlier today, though.

She's not kidding around and has been market selling all day. And she probably won't be done even if she takes out that big $600 bid at Bitstamp..

I mean her. The market is a big whore. She's trying to f**k everyone.

This made my day. Thank you.

I see all these bitfinex referral code, lifetime rebate thing coming up, what's up with those.  I am with bitfinex since last March (Mar 2013) but I don't see anything like these?  Can someone please kindly give me a quick description about this?  Do old members qualify?

Just send a PM into support and they will add it to your account.

Are you talking about something you received in a PM? It looks like someone named "ButApparel" is spamming their referral code. I received this as a PM earlier today:

As a partner with BFX, I give out rebates paid in the form of btc/ltc/usd for bitfinex.com.  You will receive an email shortly after sign up with this code: X1LTTXAjLV

I hope this makes trading/lending a bit more pleasant.

Take advantage and happy trading!

On the Bitcoin Deposit page when I click on "Change Address" the page refreshes but the deposit address is still the same.
It this a minor bug or purposefully for verified accounts?

Thank you

Yeah, right? Remember how awful it seemed when it switched to "per day"? It looks just as incomprehensible now again! :-)
