I am not saying that EthConnect will not turned out into a scam immediately, but there is a good chance this project will last for at least few months. Long enought to make 100x+ on this investment. On the other side, we might never see a cent from this investment. If you dont want to risk then take a shovel and go digging for $5/hour.

I'm unloading at $10/token to hedge in case it does end up being a scam.

I'm still keeping roughly 50% of my EthConnect tokens.

Actually, mathematically, EthConnect is a good gamble:

I'm risking $1 to gain $30. This means I only need to be right 1 time in 30 to break even.

So, even if the chances of EthConnect being a scam were 50%, it will still be a mathematically sound gamble.

I just noticed that the people who invested in Hextra started getting their withdrawals. Hextra is currently at $14-$15. I checked the Alexa rank of their website and it is at 153,000 while the EthConnect is at 30,000 (lower is better). It means that EthConnect is much more popular at the moment. Moreover, there are about 20,000+ registrations in the last few days totaling a whooping 224,000+ registrations.

Of course this can be a scam and that we dont see a single dollar from this, but it could also be a new BitConnect.

If the developers are smart they will make sure their platform is working (and allowing withdrawals too) and will wait for the price of at least $100+ to start their exit strategy. Now they have the money to settle their platform to work smoothly. I belive ETC will open at at least $10 and will soon be $50+. They just have to be smart and greedy and this will work for us and for them at the same time:) Someone should told them this

I just had unprotected sex with my gay lover who has AIDS, but despite of the all red flags, am ready to lose my life although I am hoping for the best

Indeed, we need to be careful investing in ico.
We need to check the team, whitepaper and most importantly the involvement of the core team to engage the community through social media like slack, telegram or twitter.
Recently I inevested a little on Tracor network , you may not heard about this company. infact I saw the review done by forumemer "token sell" in this forum and made very quick decision to invest.
to my surprise after the ico ended, the website is not accessible and twitter account is removed...sigh now I have no idea what happend to my monies.

I learnt my lesson and you really need to check again and again if the ico company is real or scam.

Realistically, you need to approach any ICO for a High Interest Investment Platform that it's a scam and that you could lose your money.

Nobody goes "oh, so you're offering a legitimate 40% per month return on my money.  Oh interesting, thank you.  Now I will ask absolutely no further follow up questions about how you're going to achieve this in a legitimate fashion?"

You put money in for the chance at short term gains, correct?

I'm so sick of all the whinging 'oh this scammy site took my money'.  Don't invest in ICO's if thats your attitude.

I've put money into REC, HXT and EthConnect and I do it knowing the risks.

I wish people stopped using the word 'scam' im sick of it. I bought ethconnect and withdrew my remaining btc no problem. I dont waste my life on threads accusing peoples choices as poor. People have been saying the same crap about bitconnect and whats happened? Alot of people are making alot of money from it. With high risk comes high reward. So enough of the accusations.
