The best way is to buy 50% in BTC , 20 % buy in altcoins i. and 10% to be used for participation in ICO projects and 20 % low cap alt coin which might be profitable for long time

I sugest that divide 5 part your money because  crypto is about timing and patient. If you have 5 different coin or ICO, waiting is more easy. I think you can invest some good ICOs like envion or credits also you can invest some coins like bankex or coinlancer.

first of all let me just say that I am a huge fan of this forum.

So where I am right now is that I have around 50 k to invest in crypto currencies.
My first thought was buying as many antminer l3+ as I could and then keep them in a hosting facility that I found.
then I thought that I should spil 50/50 between mining for litecoins and getting hardware to mine for ethereum.

I know that I am late to the game but I am still hoping that it is profitable.

I would just like to know what would you do ?

I think that firstly you should determine how do you want to earn money. If you are counting on mining then pre-calculate the cost of equipment and payment for energy. But it seems to me that there are more profitable to invest in promising altkoins.

Whooping $50k is a good start up capital. Its huge.
If it was me, i will do good ICOs , make minimum of *10 of my invested capital , i will also invest a good amount in RIPPLE, WAVE, DASH & ETN. HODL for just a year and cash out my bountiful harvest.

Better you invest in altcoin now. Ethereum is best for long term investment. Many people predict eth can hit $1000. Now arround $300. Also look at waves neo and komodo.

You may just invest this money in Bitconnect or any other lending platform and get +100% within 4 month) But if you want to invest in miners, I'd not recommend you to buy L3+ miners, there are some really profitable ones for the SHA-256 algorithm such as S9.

Actually it is a good time to buy altcoins now. Most of them are cheap because of the fork. If i were you i would divide it to 3 equal parts. 1 for bitcoin 1 for altcoins and 1 part for icos.

Don't you think that you are taking a huge risk if you devote 2/3rd of your investment in to alts and ICOs? My advice would be to keep at least 50% in Bitcoins and at least half of the remaining in various forked coins such as Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold and B2X. ICOs can be very profitable, but you need to do a lot of research before investing in them.

NEO is then best option for me. It has built in exchange and smart contracts. This makes NEO better then bitcoin and also ethereum.
Bitcoin does not have smart contracts and ethereum does not have decentralized exchange.
