What happens if something gets written into the blockchain about a profile that actually is not true? Can it be corrected?

If a grade is confirmed and the proofs are uploaded to the public chain — it's there forever. The only way to correct the grade now is to issue another one — both grades would remain on the chain, and the recruiters would probably consider the latest one to be true. However, how the recruiters' app would handle such cases are up to the application developers.

If the grade is not yet confirmed (the root hash of the grades is not yet published by the educator), the educator can make corrections to the private transactions. The speed of the private chain is configured by each educator independently (e.g. an educator can publish proofs once a semester, or every day, or once a year — we do not put any restrictions except the linear block publication fee).

Generally, educators are incentivized to be as truthful in their assessments as possible due to the fact that we have a web of trust integrated in our protocol. If the grades issued by an educator do not correspond to the knowledge of its students, other educators and recruiters will notice it. They will express their opinions on the quality of assessment, and after some sufficiently large period of time the rating of the lying educator would decrease.

Token technical pool

In traditional pseudo-decentralised models, such as PoS with compulsory delegation for instance, the key organisation is responsible for the entire community over a long period of time. The performance of the entire system depends on this organisation, and not on the community. In order to ensure real decentralisation, a technical token pool will be formed after the launch of MainNet. This will prevent one stakeholder to have more than a 50% share and thus could influence the functioning of the network. Technical pool will be formed in such a way that the share of tokens from the total volume of token issue will be 45%, and this will be distributed between three independent organisations. Thus, tokens will be distributed in the following ratio:

Data Security in DISCIPLINA

The DISCIPLINA architecture stores the data on student academic achievement on the private chains of educational institutions. This could cause the problem of data unavailability in the event that that educational institution stops using the network or that their equipment malfunctions. DISCIPLINA solves this problem by also storing the copies of all the data in student’s personal profile – thus it will be easy to prove the authenticity of the data by accessing the old records in public chain and checking the hashes.

Unlike traditional PoW mining, the DISCIPLINA provides energy-efficient PoS minting. The network rewards the users proportionally to the volume of DSCP tokens on the balance of each other.
