Is every country really corrupt?

The citizens are the ones who are corrupt and not the country itself. I have seen that people usually have the trait to be corrupt but this may not manifest in a situation where there is a superb legal system that clearly spelt out the punishment that will be meted out to whoever is found to have involved himself in such crises.

I'm from Malaysia. A beautiful country with lots of resources but filled with corrupted politicians who stole away from the people. I feel so helpless.

I don't know, but everyone from my country thinks that ours is the most corrupt in world. Is it the same in yours too? If so...why, or how come?

In my opinion. Though not the same level, no matter how they claim their government officials are not corrupt, i still believe in some degree they are. People are people and you cannot change the truth that people are greedy. Whenever they are in a position, position to steal,  cheat hey will do.

I think every countries experienced corruption, there's few person who always make their own lives grow. Government has always untrusted people even they are in the highest position they still cheating.

There are many countries out there, where the corruption levels are so low that we can classify them as corruption free. I am talking about countries such as Norway, Iceland and Japan. I haven't heard anyone saying that Japan is a corrupt country.

i think every country is corrupt to  a certain extent. Some countries are corrupt to a very large extent, while some are corrupt to a very little extent. But no country is totally corruption-free in my own opinion

I think there are corrupt officials in every country. Here in the Philippines, many corrupt officials are known but they still win every election. They are magicians.

This is a good reply since it admits if there's enough people, among some, there'll be corruption.

Where people are able to be corrupt, there's a chance they will be.

Where there is goverment, there is corruption.

The only way to tackle corruption properly and effectively is to minimize goverments power and give the power back to the people in a libertarian point of view.

Every large organization is corrupt. Starting with religion, government, and corporations. Once you recognize that, you just have to deal with it and move on.

Well, not all country engage in corruption. You can say a country if corrupt or not by seeing how their economy rise and the technology itself. A nice and well manage country and not corrupt is the politician that is not their own personal interest but the interest of the people.

In my opinion all the countries in the world are corrupt, the problem is that corruption is more or less. If you do not pay bribes hardly do anything. Bribing the right person will help people pass, get a driving license, sign a contract, or win a lawsuit
