I'm keep on the MEW ETH and 15 tokens 2 years. And for this time i have not lose any coins. News about vulnerabilitys MEW - this is only fake. You can lose coins if enter on the phishing site. What this did not happen check https and certificates.

correct. Make sure you always check the address url bar whenever you access myetherwallet and also check if the site has an https and certificate so that you are sure that you are accesing the correct site and not the cloned ones or phised site because mew is verry popular  in terms of phising and hacking to the fact that many people are using it because mew is indeed the best wallet to use when dealing on altcoins or erc20 bases coins and tokens.
Even the site is giving out reminders on how to access the original site which this wallet is really very prone to clones since this is the access into wallet once keys have been compromised and its the most famous erc20 token wallet storage this is why hackers would really try out their best to make a site which would able for them to extract out keys of those newbie users. Be wary on all cost specially when logging in your private keys online.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

is that real? you have really strong hands if that so, you gain so much from that time of holding i believe kudos to you dude.
I haven't heard any confirmed news about meyetherwallet being attack, mostly of it was just a fake news or a user tells everyone that he/she lost coins on MEW but the truth is he/she just got phished.

Hello guys , I would like to ask this from more veteran people here if MEW or shall we say myetherwallet.com is safe or not..?
Some of my colleagues said that myetherwallet is not safe because there maybe some intruders with wide and depeest knowledge
When it comes to security bypass could get access of your account at myetherwallet? Please
Help me answer this if mew is safe or not.. Is this a user fault to expose their private key or there is.someone could really
Access our account .. using security bypass? Please thank you.

yes myetherwallet.com is safe if you know how to use / manipulate it. Because sometimes other users mistakenly send or post their private key instead of wallet address. Then they're telling that it was hacked or hijacked.
And as base on my experience always create new wallet everytime you participate on different bounties or airdrop. But of course always take note of your previous private key. So that time my come you can access it anytime.

I agree it depends on how you use it. MyEtherWallet uses trusted crypto libraries and ensures that only public information is sent to our nodes. To make sure that we are only sending public information and not secretly updating the code to catch private keys. But we should also consider that, MyEtherWallet doesn't write any smart contracts and is just a client-side interface to interact with the blockchain. To be honest, you never really can be sure that anything is safe but you can minimize the risks.  MyEtherWallet is not a standard web wallet. It does not allow you to create an account or store your Ether on MEW’s servers. It simply allows you to create a wallet. Then, you can store that wallet anywhere and keep it safe and thats your responsibility.

IN MEW team there's none but sadly there are users who became a victim of MEW-like websites that got their private keys and later on stole their real balance on the real MEW website. Overall MEW is safe but all wallets are in risk if the user isn't aware of the possibility that he can be a victim of such modus that can stole his identity mostly with the important ones like private keys. That's why when logging in to MEW its also a good one to keep your JSON file's.

Tokens that was put on myetherwallet are safe, the security of the wallet is depends on the user how secure he is in keeping his private keys and aware of those phishing links.

It is safe as long as you don't get phished and someone would be able to access your wallet. Always be careful when accessing site because scammers are copying the interface of the site so you would think that it is the legit site. They would copy the URL and replace one special character with a difference of just one dot below a letter or adding one letter that is not immediately noticeable. If you do not check the URL then there would be a possibility of being phished.

Do not click any e-mails coming from myetherwallet because you didn't give them your e-mail address when you created the wallet. There is a higher possibility that it is just from a scammer/phisher. If you received an e-mail stating to upgrade your wallet then don't fall for it. For those people who are saying that their wallet have been hacked, more likely they access a site and freely provide the scammers the private key resulting to losing their coins.

 Roll Eyes

in a weeks ago, I heard about several accounts in mew that got hacked but I don't think that it's from the user mistake because I read that there is a hole from the mew site and it's been used by the hacker to steal the coins. I always suggest to my friends to not save the coins in the mew if the tokens are already released on the market and it is better to save the coins in the market but we need to make sure that our account in that market is safe too.

Exactly, before clicking any link or website better check twice about it because there are many phishing websites they will steal your information. So any ICO any exchange will never ask your private keys, so be careful with the people who will ask for private keys.

Only dumb person would only give his privatekeys into anybody on the web which since from the start we are already being cautioned by the site itself to keep those keys as secure as possible that no one would able to know on where it is placed or should not really be compromised.Once being known or accessed by someone then 100% sure you would really be got hacked. MEW is safe but the total safety would really depend into users negligence.

Agree just read also the guide before creating wallet, because sometimes due to wrong procedures that's why they were experience some problems. But still I believe to the credibility of this coin because until now, more users using this wallet. Other than that Myetherwallet was already build a large reputation to many users that's results of good impression to many people.

MEW is really rock solid. But please do remember: there's nothing like too big to fail.
I think inside the dark room somewhere there are people trying so hard to breach it since it well known wallet.
So, just be careful down there.
The very safe is just setup your HW wallet or paper wallet at home. Or you can do it like Winklevoss twins, saving your private keys in chunks and store it in different vault  Grin

It is because some people don't have much knowledge about how to keep track of investment into phishing websites. Even though many people are suggesting don't click any website without knowing and don't share your private key without knowing.

Yeah right, myether is like a safety vault because no one can opened it aside from the owner's. Maybe due private key together with the password given by the owner that's why myether wallet is hard to hack by the hacker.
