As regard to MEW, is safe if you hold your private key somewhere that you're the only one to to know where you could hide it either online or offline,
i never heard someone got hacked their etherwallet...

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Hello guys , I would like to ask this from more veteran people here if MEW or shall we say myetherwallet.com is safe or not..?
Some of my colleagues said that myetherwallet is not safe because there maybe some intruders with wide and depeest knowledge
When it comes to security bypass could get access of your account at myetherwallet? Please
Help me answer this if mew is safe or not.. Is this a user fault to expose their private key or there is.someone could really
Access our account .. using security bypass? Please thank you.

MEW just one of many way to access your account. You should bookmark MEW to your brower, combined form metamask with MEW is very safety.

I believe myetherwallet is one of the safest online wallet out there but i know some people getting hacked even though they are very cautious on their private keys, i suggest using json file instead of private keys to be honest since hacker can't have a copy of it unless he/she has an access to that.

After hacking Ian Balina's wallet, I do not consider the MyEtherWallet reliable. I think he had a good protection and even this did not help him. It's better to keep your money in cold wallets.

If he is a security concerned person then he would have not kept his coins in normal wallets . whether MEW is safe or not , but your pc is not safe completely . you will not know when someone inject malware or any other attack on your pc , thats why hardware walllets are recommended by experts .
however so many hacks of exchanges and other people tell us that you are never 100% secured .

in my opinion mostly not because of a clever hacker. but most people incorrectly enter the eth address when registering bounty. should they include an address may be confused with P.P.K. so that people can access anywhere, so we must be careful to register. and I think personally, using myetherwallet safe until now if we are careful.

Myetherwalle is a place where you can store electronic money where they are really safe for you, but you should keep your password safe and you should not visit them much when you There should only be access to them

Honestly, I think it's secure, myetherwallet developers don't have access to your private keys, which means everyone must control and secure their keys. I haven't ever heard myetherwallet got hacked, just some people who lost their private keys and claim it has been hacked. Even most web wallets for bitcoin seems can not be hacked, unless you are reckless and the private keys could be accessed by the thief. The same theory for myetherwallet, electrum, blockchain, it's safe.
I agree with you because myetherwallet is very safe, secure and reliable and that is why people trust it and are relaxed that their funds are safe except if you lost or mistakenly disclose your private key to a third party. That is why it is advisable to always keep your keep private key or write it down in a safe place because it is the only key you have to access your funds in the wallet.

to me is not safe because the level of hack now in the MEW is much so i we have to be very careful about ethereum wallets, won't have to click any un-trusted links sent to you on the mails.

I personally think MyEtherwallet is safe to use because I have used it for almost 2 years now and did not have any problems with the site. You just have to keep your private keys safe with you and never give it out to any one else most especially to those you don’t know.

in my opinion myetherwallet could be in trust as a place of temporary hold of a gift from a bounty hunter. from the security side myetherwallet prefer the private key that only in the owner only though there are several ways to get in to access the wallet. so how a wallet owner to secure it.

In my opinion, it is a safe place to store those ERC20 tokens and MetaMask will secure your wallet too. It would be best if you combine it with a hardware wallet just like Ledger .

yes of course myetherwallet is very safe to use store ethereum and some tokens are created from smart contract ethereum, a few months ago there was bad news stating myetherwallet wallet stolen in my opinion it was due to negligence from the owner of the wallet because it can not keep the private key they have with secure.

BIG WINNER!

We do not have a choice other than myetherwallet even if it is not safe. For me, bad is good. Of course, it's also important how you open your wallet there.

Nothing is completely secured here,it all depends on how we are haveing the private keys safe and don't get into any phishing links. Most of the people will reveal their private keys to the scammers by airdrops and bounties so they need to understand that no one needs our private keys other than us,if they have it they can access like you.

I've been using myetherwallet since 2016. I don't encounter problem with them like hacking of funds.  I can attest that ,it is  safe.
