It's hard to predict, I'm looking for it to go for around 7$, but we shall se what announcements will their team make in the meantime.. The target could easily move to x30 as you said if they make something big  Cool

I totally agree. It is nearly impossible to judge. The IOTA project is such in an early stage with no running product in a real live environment yet, even though there seem to be some promising collaboration with big companies.

In terms of predictions, I think something about 5$ by end of 2018 would be really great. But it is unpredictable from my point of view. Just guessing currently. It will heavily depend on the general development of thy cryptomarket throughout 2018 and for sure the progress on the IOTA progess itself. Communication is so far not the biggest strength of the team (who knows by purpose or not...).

5$???
You think Yota will reach a market cap of more than 15 billion in only a few months? This would mean 3rd strongest cryptocurrency, directly behind ether.
Sorry but this isn't very realistic.
I would love that, but I don't believe in miracles Wink
If development is really great, we might see rates of more than 1.50$ by the end of 2018.
But we won't see 5$ in the next 2 years.

Bitcoin dominance is declining and might be below 40% in 1 year. But IOTA currently has 0.9% of overall crypto capital. It might reach 2% in 1-2 years, if it's really successful in practice (and not only in theory).
To answer your question, this is just impossible.

It is natural for bitcoin dominance to dip over time as more innovative speculative coin comes into the market.
In the end, money will flee back to BTC as the coin of stability when altcoin wave is in havoc.
Everybody wants to scrap higher profit through alts anyway

I think in this present condition it is not predictable because with the increase price of Bitcoin and many altcoin are facing the down trend. So with the potential they may be they will reach to 1$ for sure.

Exactly, the market cap of IOTA is no.7 again, every time it dropped it can revive very soon.

Yep and currently it seems like that there is a ton of support at 0.0001. So there is pretty much no chance that even if the coin gets dumped by profit takers that the coin is going to stay below 0.0001 btc for long at all.

As soon as it goes under 0.0001, there will be people to take in cheap IOTA.

Dev team isn't really doing a whole lot of advertising so that is why there has been virtually no hype on this project.

To answer your question, this is just impossible.

It took Bitcoin 2 years to shed 40% of the total coin market, and months for Eth to gain its current status, so it's possible. You should never confuse unlikely for impossible, unless you like being surprised.

i dont think so... bcz  iota had the capability to flourish but its true potentiality has never been harnessed by by the core development team or the community,  if that had been done before, its target cap mus have reached much before

Is it true that IOTA is quantum computer resistant? How they achieve it? I read that IBM are ready to put on cloud 20 qbit quantum computer for public and are having 50 qbit prototype.

Iota uses Winternitz signatures, which are quantum resistant. Basically the same thing that makes them efficient makes them one way, so quantum resistant. You can dig around the internet for the math of why this is true if you want to go next level.

I'm not sure why anyone thinks a team that can't write standard crypto can accurately implement something new.

The thing that pisses me off about IOTA is the ongoing snapshots, disappearing balances(having to generate new addresses in a new wallet to get the funds back) and loss of access to your coins when the devs decide to move them all to an address they control and you have to wait a month for them to release a new tool to try and get them back.

Is IOTA decentralised when at any time the dev team can literally take your funds and move them to an address only they control without your pre approval?

I do hold some IOTA but my main investment is KMD.  So much going on with this project you would be crazy to ignore it.

I share same sentiments too on this. But really the IOTA technology is awesome, knowing that there are no charges and no confirmations. however i believe it's going through a teething process just like every other crypto. BTC is still 1mb without a smart contract. Litecoin is a better version BTC and BTC is still not progressing at the rate we'd all want it to because of internal politics amongst DevS and Big Time Miners(being selfish) who tend to disrupt Bitcoins progression due to the moneys they stand to make.
IOTA Partnering with MicroSoft is a welcomed development as things may likely speed up with IOTA going mainstream. Autonomous system is the next thing and it's here to stay and IOTA would be the prefered network to reconcile charges between M2M.

IOTA is a technology that would evolve to mainstream between 2018 and beyond.

What are your thoughts about Raiblocks vs Iota?

They offer the same things but Raiblocks are P2P while Iota is M2M.

A dollar looks imminent.

Yes when IOTA breaks the ATH at 1.10 USD everything is possible.

IOTA enables one to send transactions without fees.
BTC looks archaic compared to this. As IOTA hodler I can only laugh about the fight between BTC and BCH.

In 2 years from now both will be obsolete.
