Feb. 4 - Projects: The winners of the Flash Channel Hackathon are announced. The winners are, from first to fifth: FogNet, Home Assistant, Simlyn, WIOTA, and BitBounti.
Feb. 6 - Foundation: Former Chairman and CEO of the National Stock Exchange, Mark Sulavka, joins the IOTA foundation. With him, he brings a core team comprising of Jeffrey Diedrich, Kenny Byrne, Egor Agafonov, and Mark Kemna. Sulavka and his team will be leading the development of the IXI Hub.
Feb. 7 - Projects: The IOTA Ecosystem is announced, a new education and collaboration platform for IOTA developers. Additionally, the Ecosystem Development Fund will provide over 20 Ti (approx. 40M USD) of funding for IOTA projects.
Feb. 8 - Projects: The community made IOTA Wallet for Android enters beta.
Feb. 14 - Corporate Interest/Projects: Kontrol Energy launches the bIOTAsphere, a collaboration platform for IoT developers and interested parties.
Feb. 21 - Corporate Interest: Johann Jungwirth, CDO of Volkswagen, announces Volkswagen partnership with the IOTA foundation.
