Most people now with the rise of bitcoin value, just want to hold bitcoin for as long as they can so that they can maximize their worth. But isn't it a little too greedy to just keep holding bitcoin?
We've all read that story in the school with the moral "Greed is a Curse".
So what if too much greed in bitcoin may backfire? What if, the hodlers end up with nothing?

I think that is not called as being greedy, I think people are just being wise in their decisions, They wanna earn and get more profit from bitcoin and that is for a good reason, I dont know what their reasons are but one of the reasons why people are doing so is to get more profit to spend for their families and dreams, now I wouldnt call that greedy.

Bitcoin should not be kept at the first place rather we should use and spend it because that it is the main purpose on why bitcoin has built, and that is for spending or paying someone. however most people miss understood the real use of it because they rather hoard their bitcoin to think that it may worth more in the future. for sure this idea will have a bad effects or backfire because there is still a possibilty or a chance that bitcoin is a bubble and one day if bitcoin pops. those greedy people will most suffer the consequences.

I believe holding bitcoin cannot be called a greedy it is an strategic way to gain in crypto field we cannot really gain here when we are going to buy and sell it directly without holding buying and selling with the same price is not really profitable we are just like playing the same game and we all end up like nothing.

The north and south polarity on these forums is hilarious.   There's the 'if you sell you're not a prudent investor,' team, the 'if you don't sell, you're not a prudent investor,' logic, and then the 'if you hold, you're greedy' camp.

If investing in bitcoin is a form of greed, is investing in stocks and securities greedy? This is an investment tool, everyone wants to get profits, as long as the lawful way, there is nothing to criticize.

The question to ask is why do people buy bitcoin? Bitcoin is either bought to keep you money in the crypto account until you need it or it's bought to make some earnings when the price of bitcoin moves up.  So holding your bitcoin is not greedy, it's just a sure way of getting your earnings.

For this date, the BTC had not yet reached its historic record of 20k, I hope that everyone have been able to sell it, at least before it collapsed below 15k and have enjoyed its benefits which we will not see for a couple of quarters.

I don't think it is greed. Holding their bitcoin is their investment and it's up to them whether they want to hold their bitcoin or sell it whenever they want.

Holding bitcoin only means that we are waiting for the right price to come, the market is always depending on the supply and demand of every coin so we should always wait for the best value of cryptocurrency in order to invest or sell.

Holding bitcoin is an investment .. Its like holding shares of a guaranteed company..
You're right, someone invests in stocks, someone invests in securities, and everyone chooses different financial products. So how can investing bitcoin be greedy? People who have such thoughts should not know bitcoin.

of course it's not greedy. it is a strategy to gain greater profits. moreover if you hold the bitcoin since it's under $ 1k, I think it's a very good strategy, and of course people see it as something extraordinary.

In my opinion, anyone who stores bitcoin is actually not greedy. But they feel bitcoin store to profit. If they sell the bitcoin at a cheap price, they feel that it is very harmful. Because of that, they prefer to store the bitcoin and sell it when the price is low.

I think holding bitcoin isn't greedy, on the grounds that almost everyone in various places makes bitcoin as one investment instruments from the existing one. Risk always exists, holding isn't a greed but an optimism about future of bitcoin.

To me holding is an individual decision, you can decide to hold your bitcoin or sell it it all depends on your needs. Bitcoin is an assets and the purpose we all get into bitcoin is to maximize profit so if the profit keep coming and the interest is growing then I think the best thing for any investors to do is to hold in other to make profit. So I don't see any thing like greed in doing what is right.

No not at all. It's a decision you make but if I know something is that holding is much less stressful then trading, and if you are trading with emotions you can do many irrational trades. In long term if you believe in project and project is legit you will make gains. Could you make better gains with trading? Well yes if you are good at it and know when and how to trade, but it can also go other way and you can lose a lot.

How could this be considered greedy? When I first got into bitcoin I promised myself I would consider it a long term investment so holding was my only option in this case

How could this be viewed as avaricious? When I initially got into bitcoin I guaranteed myself I would think of it as a long haul speculation so holding was my exclusive alternative for this situation

No, greedy is not the right word for holding bitcoin. Everyone decide what they want for their coins. I personally decided to hold

I think it is not. You still holding your bitcoin because you want make it bigger and higher. Holding a bitcoin is a very simple job but difficult thing because you need to wait for weeks, months or years to make it bigger. So holding a bitcoin is not a being a greedy it is a wise thing that you can do with it.
