Most people now with the rise of bitcoin value, just want to hold bitcoin for as long as they can so that they can maximize their worth. But isn't it a little too greedy to just keep holding bitcoin? We've all read that story in the school with the moral "Greed is a Curse". So what if too much greed in bitcoin may backfire? What if, the hodlers end up with nothing?
That is not greedy. In order to have a good future in BTC, you must use your brain and know how the business works. Yes the value falls down and comes higher and keeping them for a long time because you believe it will go higher soon isn't about greed. It's about reality. We all want to be successful right? We're buying at lower price, keep it and wait for higher price til we sell it because that's how it's supposed to be. Business minds should come first before anything else if you want to be successful in your BTC investment. As long as you're not stealing BTCs and tokens then you aren't committing a sin. If being greedy means the cycle of BTC then every company are greedy? They have techniques to rise up their companies and doesn't care if they are stepping on other people. I'm not saying that we should but remove the guilty feeling of being greedy because business is business.

There is nothing greedy about holding something that everybody else wants. So what if the market may sometimes go up and down? Everyone investing should at least willing to risk what they put on the tables.

Holding is not greed. I think holding even helps bitcoin more: it makes bitcoin as scarce as fiat which is a good quality of every currency.

Holding bitcoin is not an example of greediness that's called smart and patience way of profiting in bitcoin when bitcoin was on the red stage, The greedy way is to expect that bitcoin will dump more so they will sell their coins and wait for the next dump so they can earn more profit but that method is risky so Bitcoin holders for now are just want to be safe their capitals.

waiting for bitcoin value to be higher it's a merchant strategy. it's like you buy shoes and sell them back for a high price. and i think it's not greedy. if someone wants to have most bitcoin world. so we need to determine a satisfied price to taste the high price bitcoin. and re-buy at low prices.

i don't think this is a greedy behavior because some of people want to hold it until another folk coming and some people is a true fans in bitcoin ,
Yes, i also think that way, they are not greedy keeping bitcoin they are just being wise. They are holding bitcoin because the value of bitcoin is still low. They want it to increase first so that they money that they will get from it is bigger. Many people are doing it and I am please to them because they are taking the risk of holding it, they are really possitive thinker they dont hesitate, what if the value of bitcoin stay as that low or decrease more. I wish it will not happen.

Exactly. It makes greedy in holding bitcoin because you are tempt to make it higher. You invested on something so you're expecting to earn big profit so hodling would be a practical way to get that big profit. I believe that the key to become success is being wise in every discission you are going to make.

Well I think hoding bitcoin isn't being greedy, it is actually a wise choice of traders who wants to be more successful. It is not a selfish desire but a choice of a person who is patiently waiting to reach his desired amount. Having the eagerness to earn more is a wise choice nowadays.

Holding bitcoin was a kind of strategic thinking where you wait for a higher value of bitcoin. This act was for me, is not an act of greediness. You have the right to to decide what you want for your bitcoin. And in fact, you strive for the money so why not holding it.

I think holding bitcoin is not being a greedy and for me holding a bitcoin is a practical way. The reason why we are holding bitcoins is because we want to become successful in the future. That we are almost on the part of the very exciting time it's the expensive price of bitcoin.

I think it is not greedy if you are in for a long term investments. Besides, bitcoin is a stable and a long term currency which fits to your long term plan. But HODLing a new comer altcoin can be a greedy one because this coin is not tested yet. I have a friend who got an altcoins from signature campaign that skyrocketed its value giving him a profit of almost 200K USD. He just hodl the estimate value of that altcoins is only 20K USD+.

I think holding a coin is not greedy as long as we know what we want to do with the coins and how much we want to take the profit. sometimes we can hold for 7 months but after we see the price jumps higher, then we become greedy and we want bigger profit. I think if we have a target price and target when we want to sell the coin, then we can prevent to become greedy.

I think this will depend based on what the goal of the person is. Some people just wanted to keep it simple and keep on hodling bitcoin, but to others they prefer to trade it. I dont find it to be as an act of greed if you are just holding your bitcoin, as long as you are aware on the risks of holding it even if the value dips then I wont contest that persons strategy to HODL. Also based on my experience it is those who HODL are the one who usually wins in the end.

I think there are consequences if holding. Who knows if next time will be better than today. This is the consequence. It can be said risky when having to hold. So I do not agree if the holding is greedy. Because at other points, when many are held, will increase the existence of the bitcoin.
