Waves has practically no chance of doing it. It is still struggling to get going itself. Stronger competitors like EOS, ADA or NEO can give some worthy competition to Ethereum but Ethereum is too strong now to be stopped by any one.

No one is going to kill anyone, exactly. Everyone is struggling enough on their own, no one has any time or resource to devote to killing a competitor, if Eth even is the competitor to tokens like Wave. The only alt I know actively trying to "kill" someone it sees as a competitor is Bitcoin Cash and those guys have a lot of money and resources to do so. So do not bother asking ourselves about this aspect of competition. Mind our own project, focus on doing our best, and let the mainstream and market speak of our success.

I do not believe that WAVES can threaten ETH. It seems to me that these projects are at different levels of development. ETH is much stronger and more promising.

I agree with you, ETH is a very well-established coins and also useful in so many ways. Waves seems also a good coin but for now, they need to convinced more developers to use their platform because as what the OP comparing their differences, Waves may have some advantages but as we all know ETH is still been used even though it faces some problems regarding their systems.

I would argue if Waves would not be defeated by waves.
Many who developed the Ethereum platform and will use Ethereum a lot.
This proves that Ethereum will grow even bigger.
Waves value is also still below Ethereum.

Guys chill no one will kill ethereum, people love to say EOS kill ethereum or Waves kill ethereum but seriously these projects don't even have as many ICO as ETH. And their daily transaction on the blockchain are a lot lower

I don’t think Ethereum is something that can be easily be defeated by
any altcoin in the market. Ethereum is on a different level compared
to all the promising and rising altcoins in the market today, to a
certain degree it even rivals or debatably is even more likey better
than Bitcoins. The wide demand and utilization of ETH solidifies
it’s own unique ground of being one to be on par with Bitcoins itself.
Waves will undoubtedly be a good and strong currency but will never
overshadow ETH anytime soon.

No, I think the waves are a hopeless coin. Whatever the events of the waves, the price of this coin remains unchanged.

Waves coin is a good of altcoins, but ethereum is great than waves. I am not sure Waves can beat ethereum
I think that NEO is have a potential to replace of ethereum in the future.

I think that NEO is have a potential to replace of ethereum in the future.
we must also take into account the fact that almost 90% of all tokens are built on the etherium platform. Based on this, I believe that replacing the etherium is impossible Now neither in the future.

Waves  features:

---Fast  transactions

---- no touring complete  smart contracts (safer than a  touring  complete  smart contract)

----- DEX  ( not  a  goode  interface tought)

----  tokens creation

-----   Ico  creation

WIill   waves   have  the  same  boom  that  ethereum had   last  year (2016) or not?

Will it kill Ethereum?

I'm afraid the waves are still very far from Ethereum.
The waves are weak, and Ethereum is very strong.
They will not be able to kill Ethereum, as if maybe they did not want.
If anyone ever kills Ethereum, it certainly won't be the waves.

Lol that's true, how the released of waves smartcontract doesn't give a lot of impact to the price of waves coin. The majority of people in the crypto have known waves as a joke platform which contains a lot of shitcoins with no usefulness. A worthless, hopeless, and useless platform. I say this based on the adoption of the platform itself and how trend its platform to the community.

The waves platform looks bad and the waveq assets don't have much value.
Neo has much more potential.

I don't know who this joker is, comparing Waves to Ethereum is a joke taking too far, it is not even a direct competitor to Ethereum, project like NEO, ICON, Qtum, Wanchain etc can aim to displace Ethereum. I want to ask you this question, who is build what on Waves platform apart from creating these fake tokens

I think not, it is ethereum that has many advantages compared to waves.
Until now the level of interest of ethereum continues to increase.
it would be very difficult for waves to kill the value of ethereum.

including me as the hold of ethereum, I will keep this ethereum because I am sure the price will continue to increase.

this is really ridiculous, Waves can never be able to kill ETH even in the future, you know, volume of Waves everyday is very little compared with it used to be, because Waves ICOs are scamed very much, most ICOs from Waves platform are scams due to waves are too weak in security protocols. so investors have lost hope on Waves and invest in ETH instead,  ETH is evolving everyday to adapt with new world, so i believe ETH will be the winner in this competition.

no way waves can replace ethereum. Ethereum already well known platform for ICO people trust into it, people want to work with it. Waves can be better in technology but it miss in marketing.

Waves LOL HAHAHA.I dont think that there will be much hype around Waves better to check coins like ADA,EOS,ZIL,NEO I am not saying that one of these will surpass ETH in capitalization but they will grow faster surely.

And Waves ? If market will grow they will grow too and if market falls they will fall like stone.

There is a main difference between Waves and ETH. ETH has all the developers right now behind them and they are the first mover for dApps. It's always hard to kill the first mover. Same applies to Bitcoin.
