Who the hell would want to donate 50BTC & to who exactly?
People who wanted to show their appreciation of the forum, but obviously nobody donates nowadays, and it goes to the forum fund. I think theymos should lower the threshold as to how much someone needs to donate in order to receive donator/VIP status (or even create a new/lower donation rank). Yes I know that it has been said many times that he is not going to lower the threshold, however I have also seen a post of his that said that he promised the donators that donations would go to forum development and hosing and to support the forum; however he has indicated that he is interested in using some of the forum money for community development but would need to get the donators' agreement before spending donations on items other then the forum (he still has ad money that he can spend on this first); adding a lower donation threshold could allow for him to mark future donations to be used for community development (or something broader then "forum development")

What's the point in being a VIP?
What benefits does it give you etc?

On top of the benefits you get as a donor (donating 10 btc), being a VIP will allow you to have the ability to change your account displayed name, create a custom title, and get a half purple coin under your name ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0)

I missed my activity points this week it looks like I think I made like only 10 posts or so, but I thought that it only required you to post at least once within the 2 week period...

You do only need to post once. It takes up to an hour to update so have you waited for that?

That's not true. I have another new account and for a few months I have posted just once every 2 weeks and I only received 1 activity point instead of the 14 points everyone is saying you should receive. So you have to post 14 posts to get the maximum 14 activity points.

So you have to post 14 posts to get the maximum 14 activity points. Correct. I have posted once every 2 weeks for months and my activity is only 10.
I wish at least staff members would know the rules.
As long as you post once in the period, you will have your "time" increased. For iXcoin Foundation, you didn't get 14 activity points every 2 weeks because your current activity is limited by your post count rather than your "time". For Vlad2Vlad, since your current activity is limited by your "time" rather than your post count, making just 1 post every 2 weeks will give you 14 activity points every time. The activity number is determined in this way: time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration activity = min(time * 14, posts)
Activity is updated every hour.

You will need to make the rest of the posts up to get the full activity though.

Simply put: you can get a max of 14 points every two week period. Next one starts on second of December.

Depends, it is a random number between 740 and 1000 off the top of my head. Not exact numbers.
