one question, my activity is 98 right now, and my posts 114 so if next period (June 10th , 2014 - June 24th , 2014) i won't post anything, and at June 25th , 2014, i start to post again. will my activity increase by 28? or just 14? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582736.0The new period starts on the 10th of June then every two weeks after that. June 10th , 2014 , 8:46:40 AM June 24th , 2014 , 8:53:20 AM July 8th , 2014 , 9:00:00 AM July 22nd, 2014, 9:06:40 AM August 5th 2014, 9:13:20 AM (all times in GMT) that thread is very helpful thanks for sharing |

It'll increase by zero if you don't post in that two week period. You need to make 1 post in it to get the activity points. |

It'll increase by zero if you don't post in that two week period. You need to make 1 post in it to get the activity points. Yes and during 10th to 24th if you even post once, your actitvity goes up one. Then in the next 2 week period you can increas eit by 27. |

Then in the next 2 week period you can increas eit by 27. so at least i post once in that period hmm, if i create another ID here and just post once every two weeks, so after 3 months i can post 64 post to get 70 activity? |

time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)
I don't like it. It embodies the assumption that any post above once per day (averaged over two weeks) is not contributing; which I do not agree with. At the very least number of posts per day should be increased, e.g. min(time * 28, posts). And you should consider more sophisticated metrics such as sum of f(x) over all two-week periods, f(x) being x / (1 + sqrt(x/14)) or x / (1 + x/28). Time spent logged in will also be useful to include as a component. One post per a two week time period I would consider not being active. |

You can't quickly become a Hero Member just by time spent at your computer. I think the earliest you'll get to Hero status is by September 2015. Read through the last couple of pages to see how the Activity system works. It's good that you want to build up some feedback though. Do lots of successful trades and you'll soon build that up and you'll be on your way to becoming a Hero member in the meantime.
