I've been working on a plan to enact the full BiblePay DAO, the Decentralized Autonomous Organization that we always intended to have, but was a little delayed in the official start due to the legal decisions required for "The BiblePay Foundation", tax exempt laws and tax-id laws among other things.

At this point it appears we have all of the info necessary to form 'The BiblePay Foundation'.  This will be a piece of the BiblePay DAO that performs certain functions that are considered hard to do without having a legal entity (things that require a tax-id number) such as taxes and crypto-to-fiat liquidations.

My next step is to create a Sanctuary Vote for this, so we can vote this in to make it official.

If it is voted in, I will then file our BiblePay Foundation Tax-ID number and non-profit Texas Corporation documents.

Going forward over the long term we plan to pay our vendors with BiblePay Foundation checks attached to the BiblePay Foundation bank.

If anyone has any recommended changes or additional controls or concerns please let us know.

All boardmembers will have official Biblepay.org exchange e-mail addresses.

This has been a long time coming and looks great!

A few questions:
Is there a reason to incorporate in Texas versus Delaware (beyond the residency status of the lead dev)?

Will the DAO function where the President oversees but only votes in case of a tie, or will the President's role be a normal voting role (both methods are common in the real world)?
If the later, that is the President gets a normal vote, then would it behoove the system to have one more or one less board member to eliminate the possibility of ties?

Will the DAO require positive identities to be made public?

Can a "deadman's switch" be written to release the spork control during Phase 1 or will the emergency key be applicable there as well?

What will the term of the members be?  Can protections be written to only allow Sanctuaries of a certain age to be allowed to vote (to reduce the incentive to pop up a bunch at voting time and then drop them after)?  Or perhaps could voting more resilient in another way?


All in all, this is one of the last few pieces of the puzzle to push Biblepay to where it belongs!

@Lichtsucher, the PurePool is down since yesterday. The last Block found was 59636   July 21, 2018, 4:05 p.m.

Any chance to have the pool stable again soon?

@Lichtsucher, the missing blocks were added yesterday night. Have you been working on it?
Now, we have a problem again with the transactions that are stuck since yesterday night.

Maybe we need a proposal to have PurePool back on track and stable again. Is the problem related to server capacity?

Im not sure who is admin for biblepay-central.org but I have feeling that whould be better to switch this web OFF like to have there outdated informations. This is contraproductive for BBP I think. No offence, web is nice and looks professional, unfortunately data are not correct there in long term.

In order for a proposal to pass, it has to get a net 10% yes votes from all masternodes (sanctuaries)

If there are too many passing proposals for the budget, proposals are funded in order of most yes votes (not sure if we are using this yet?)
