Hi Hyp0crit,
Yes we restrict the mining to one reward per device/account/ip to make it as fair as possible for everyone and prevent anyone setting up large server farms for mining. What was the other forum you heard about us on?

ICO whitelisting is now available at https://jsecoin.com/whitelisting

If you are considering participating in the ICO please get registered as early as possible as we have to manually check registrations.

Two things to note:-

Use the same email you used to register on the platform
Use a wallet ethereum address, not a coinbase or exchange address

Full guide here: https://jsecoin.com/HowToParticipateInICO.pdf

Hi Bangga,

Not sure I fully understand the question.

To participate in the ICO which will be in July please get whitelisted at https://jsecoin.com/whitelisting

If you are asking about which crypto exchanges we will be listing on then we will be making an analysis after the ICO deciding based on the funds we have available and the exposure/volume that each exchange offers.

Hi,

If you are mining jsecoins, will it be affected during or after ICO?

I mean is ICO token different from JSEcoin mined from the JSE website platform?

Thanks

Hi xyburcoin,

All tokens that you have now, and continue to mine, will not be affected by the ICO. You always have full access to them. They will be the same tokens as those distributed during the ICO so you will not need to do anything. Obviously if you want to take part in the ICO to invest in additional tokens you will just need to complete whitelisting which can be done here https://jsecoin.com/whitelisting

It seems that JSE Desktop uses more CPU resources than web mining platform...

even at the same accelerator settings

This is a unique digital currency for Web sites and Web site users. Can be exploited, exchanged, purchased on the Web when using the JSECoin token ... So what the exchange, trading advantages in terms of price, speed? Are there incentives for the user something else?

@xyburcoin Yes it is more juicy, I don't think this is the mining code as that is basically identical to the web version. I think it's something to do with the app framework. Sorry if I get a bit geeky on you here but we are using software called Electron to basically create an application which runs within a frameless browser window. So the desktop app is still actually running as a Chromium browser. It's likely something in this that is less efficient than running the standalone Chrome browser. Unfortunately this is something out of our control because it's related to the framework rather than our code. There's benefits and drawbacks of the desktop app vs the platform so it's nice to have the option.

@Leodala so I'm not sure I understand the question entirely but I'll talk about some end user advantages. So with regards to speed we run fixed 30 second block cycles. This is different to Bitcoin that has a set difficulty rate and variable block times. By fixing the block times and assessing the hashes on completion we are able to offer transactions speeds which are comparable to existing mainstream technology. On to price, we currently offer fee free transfers, this is a key factor in the projects attractiveness to non-technical users. Everyone can understand the benefit of transferring funds across the globe without losing a percentage. We have retained roughly 45% of the total distribution to pay miners over the next 10 years, once that starts to run out we need to have built a profitable business and controlling organization otherwise we will have to introduce fees to generate mining rewards and keep the system going. This will be one of the long-term challenges for the company and we are currently planning on exploring ad-exchange implementations and enterprise subchain solutions after the ICO.

Quick question.. so I visit a website and I get a pop-up which says that this website uses JSECoin to mine while I am browsing? Or something to that extend because I assume a visitor to a website will need to be made aware.

Now I am faced with the question. What do I as a visitor get in return for these guys to use my resources?

If the question has already been answered, I am sorry. But I really need to know. Thanks.

Thank you FoxICO, we submitted the project to all the major ICO alert/listing websites and you were the quickest to list. Impressive! Also I love the ascii art.

Hi Poweralco, the answer is content. The webmaster is providing content and to produce high quality content long-term at scale it needs to be  monetized in some form. Banner ads are one way, mebership sites with subscriptions are another and I hope that browser mining will eventually be seen as a legitimate non-intrusive method of visitors contributing to the content they consume.

Vangoborn, check out the Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtwnVQ0HPNk
Spoiler ICO starts 12:00 UTC July 11th 2018, we will be applying to exchanges immediately following the close of the ICO.

Xyburcoin, thank you!

This ICO is one of the few (or only) I've seen that shows a financial officer as part of their listed team. It seems to me that properly managing the ten's of millions of dollars of value with proper controls  suddenly obtained via an ICO is as important as the other roles. So I congratulate JSEcoin on this realization. Will you continue to publish monthly (or quarterly) accounts after the ICO, as part of your transparency theme?

Hi Crytonut,

Yes I think it's going to be important for investors to see where there money is going and that we aren't blowing it on Lambos.

The costs are going to go up significantly because I'd like to setup offices in Cambridge and get a small 5-10 person dev team working full time on the project. This will be shown as a constant loss on the accounts and will serve as a monthly reminder that we still need to work hard to make the company profitable in the long-term with things like the https://jsecoin.com/downloads/JSEcoinEnterpriseSolutions.pdf

Eventually I'd like to get as close to the transparency required of public limited companies that list on stock exchanges. This should include things like director dealings announcements (if one of the founders wants to buy/sell JSE tokens), annual report, some form of stakeholder meeting (AGM) etc.
