Bitcoin or Altcoins? Which is safer or more profitable?

Hello family, I need to take an informed decision on this issue

With the present challenges with the blockchain technology and its present congestion ,

Is it still safe, wise and as profitable as before to start a fresh bitcoin investment?

I'm thinking that investing in a number of the other several altcoins might be much better

Pls I need your thoughts and opinions on this....thanks

Bitcoin is the most trusted and used among all the cryptocurrencies so I think it's the safest way to hold crypto and it still has the ability to give you profit but altcoins is capable to give more earnings, however, there are many scams that is happening in there so it is riskier than bitcoin. It's up to you but I suggest that you must get bitcoin first.

for long-term investments I prefer to save Bitcoin Because the price is fluctuating if used as Short-term Investment it will be too risky.In addition, the very high Bitcoin price is suitable for long-term investments different from other altcoins that do not have prices as well as Bitcoin, although it is not impossible Altcoin others can also follow even equal Bitcoin prices

Maybe most people choose BTC with long-term investment strategy. Because Bitcoin has the X10 in 2017. The huge profit margin is only within a year. desire for wealth. If you intend to long-term investment, so the bitcoin is your best choice, the bitcoin is the most stable encryption currency of all, if you want to gain more benefits in a short period of time, you can choose investment altcoins, it can happen a lot of volatility in a short time, you may get a lot of benefits, also may be a big loss, you need to do your own judgment

Actually both are profitable, but bitcoin is far superior to altcoins I think. And for less risk of bitcoin than altcoins. If you want to invest should first learn the market and then start investing. Everything is sometimes difficult to guess. But for long jangak I choose bitcoin.

With the present situation, bitcoin is longer term profitable and alt coins are shorter term. In the long run the obstacles for bitcoin will be finished time by time (segwith, LN) the bitcoin become much more valuable. Currently for example this year I am positive on ether.

I think both are very profitable. Investing there must be safe and there are also risks. It all depends on each of us how we can keep the coins we have.

Bitcoins is the first cryptocurrency, and that makes it the most trusted and used amongst all the other altcoins, so its the most safe to get hold of. However, since the price is so high right now, don't expect it to increase tenfold in the next few years as it would be a little unrealistic, but possible though.

Altcoins, or Initial Coin Offerings (ICO), can have potential if researched upon, which makes it more profitable, however, there are many scamcoins revolving about ICOs and altcoins, making it more risky than having Bitcoin.

It is up to you, but if you are new to BTC, I suggest getting some Bitcoin first.

Agreed though , long term is for bitcoin and short term is for altcoin , me too I suggest that invest on bitcoin industry it have more opportunities than alt coin , and be ware on some ICO's because some is scam. So be aware and be careful.

they always say what is Bitcoin, they do not know what is Bitcoin,
They always think paper money and credit cards are better than digital money or Bitcoin, so when I explain what is Bitcoin they do not believe it, and when I explain now the price of Bitcoin is above $ 6,000 / Btc they always laugh, so it's better to explain what is Bitcoin on them by putting a lot of money in front of them and saying this is the result of Bitcoin..

If you want  a long term investment,i suggest you to go for bitcoin because it is more profitable than any other crypto currency but there are some alcoin that has also potential like ethereum.But bitcoin is still the best and safest investment among all crypto currency.

I think both are profitable and have different prices and different markets, bitcoin will be more profitable for long-term investment while altcoin can be for the short term, usually when bitcoin decreases then altcoin will rise

As of now this coins are all profitable ,If i were to choose the bitcoin is much safer and profitable in terms of market value and its uses. I think bitcoin has concrete foundation than other altcoins in terms of market exchange and investments.

Studying hard on research new ico for a short term investment would be profitable than investing on bitcoin. I like the word that luck is an attitude. If you are lucky enough no matter which currency you invested. Nowadays I am eager to invest on ether.

For safer they are the same but the distinct and better bitcoin reputation,
but for the future as well as profitable it is clear that bitcoin is better and more proven and recognized while altcoin takes more time because it still needs to be developed differently from bitcoin.

One of the reason why more investors goes with bitcoin because they don't need to wait for much longer time as bitcoin already been proven its worth and
already have a working product, while alts can also profitable in the long run and just like what you have said it takes some time in order to complete their
offers but after that the gain is much bigger than what you can have from bitcoin alone.
