It's impossoble to kill bitcoin fully. Goverments can't control miners, but they can ban miners. Fortunatley, miners are all around the world, and it's unreal to ban them all. But there is one more thing, if one of the mining company would hold more than 51% of transactions, they can theoretically control this transactions and make changes in them. It can kill sense of bitcoin and blockchain.
I think the government can not ban mining companies but they can manage it and restrict it from commercial sites with limited trading volume. We depend on it, and no one knows the bitcoin rates held by the mining companies. Certainly they have the ability to suppress the price in the market and easily recognize the volatility later. Mtgox is the best example.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I think that new technologies are just at the beginning of their journey and new types of farms will soon appear, if now there is a problem with paying for electricity, soon it will replace artificial batteries. I myself want to buy batteries for farms that would pay less,
in general bitcoin it's all over the world and one state can not affect its development, the main thing is that the technology would not stand still and more people would know about it

Break the internet. Bitcoin is decentralised and the network is basically its community of users. Any other forms of attacks would most likely be ineffective at shutting the network down completely. Unless you disrupt the primary way for Bitcoin nodes to communicate, you can't kill Bitcoin.

You could consider the scenario of a 51% attack. That isn't as valid since it won't kill Bitcoin, merely discourage people from using it.

Stop all mining and dump all bitcoin. Maybe that would kill bitcoin. If bitcoin mining stopped there will be no productivity anymore and if everyone one dump bitcoin and don't buy anymore there will be no demand anymore so bitcoin's value shrink until it becomes 0 value. But I think this is impossible to happen anyways.

One of the most innovative crypto currencies to date. Marinecoin will definitely out preform all others. 20000 coins for each proof of promotion. Self sustaining and time tested. Dev-less and eco friendly block chain. Supported a a strong community. Register marineco.in and here marineco.in/ico for ICO. Artificial intelligence to the blockchain. Nothing to lose by signing up.
Okay this is fine to hear about this new coin but I think we must stick to the main topic here. If such sort of advertisements getting started here, the quality of the discussion may be compromised. I think developing team must consider this fact and implement some algorithms that can extract out such posts. Newbies are continuously getting information from here so please don’t just mess out.

bitcoin will not get killed as long as there is internet because bitcoins live inside each user's computer and bitcoins are in the form of a decentralized system

That's true, killing Bitcoin is impossible since these is a series of network which is transacted through nodes. Shutting it down is very difficult because of the programmes that is embedded in it which is decentralized and access to the network is very minimal.

Huh
I searched how to kill Bitcoin on the search box and saw nothing, so I'll just start a new one.

Is it true that miners are the one responsible for every transactions?
If yes; why didn't the government of China just ban cryptocurrency mining or am I just missing something out?

If there are no transactions or maybe just less than 10 made transaction happened within 24 hours, how will the mining computer work then?, will it just go idle? What if people decided to hodle their coins, will it be unfair for the miners?

 Huh

They essentially killed it in china. If you put bitcoin is a scenario where it is no longer advantageous to use, you essentially killed it. Especially since china has its "great firewall"
Bitcoin needs to grow. It needs exchanges and more stores accepting it. If you stop it from growing you killed it.
Im using "kill" here loosely as what im talking about is stopping it from succeeding.

If you look at in a bigger picture, you could actually see that killing bitcoin can be done if a large or considerable number of people stop using it. Just like when it was banned by china and bv india the stock of cryptocurrency dropped drasticaly and it also upeneded any growth of cryptocurrency not just bitcoin by the banning of its borders. However, we can still keep it alive by the power of our influences and our drive and I think that is more than enough

Do you know why you could not fine answer to that question on how to kill bitcoin, because no individuals or group can actually kill bitcoin as none was aware when bitcoin was created and no body can even control bitcoin talk more of killing bitcoin. Bitcoin is here to stay and unless the internet is turn off all over the word only then bitcoin can be Holt from moving from one person to another.

If you really wanted to kill bitcoin then there would be two ways to do it most efficiently.
1) You would have to find a way to shut off electricity in the world so there would be no way to power our devices and gadgets so there will be no way to get to our bitcoins.
2) You would have to find a way to shut off internet in the world so there is no way for anyone to be online and there will be no way to access our bitcoins and carry out transactions.

Well why should we kill bitcoin ? Bitcoin is said to be so helpful and it is really a good thing that people may gain an extra income and they can have  a financial freedom and maybe people really know about it.that is why bitcoin today is really getting popular i really cant imagine life without bitcoin because bitcoin is really helpful and we can see that it makes our life a colorful life each day.

Well said why we need to kill bitcoin , we always said that bitcoin is dead what so ever , can we forget the word kill and dead about bitcoin or even end? , can we just enjoy that we living on a brighter future though , on the other hand yes there still some countries that still doubting the bitcoin , but we can't force them to believe bitcoin , instead of forcing them I think we need to show them. Still I'm proud bitcoin user , I love bitcoin , it's really help us to be honest not just me , or not just you all of us if we just open our mind.

In order to kill Bitcoin, you need:

1. Take an asteroid, about 100 miles wide. 70 miles would also work, but we need to make sure, right?
2. Throw it from Earth orbit into Otakama desert  (so that no people are hurt).
3. It'll kill Bitcoin completely. Probably.

2* Throwing it into Yellow Sea, for example, would probably kill Bitcoin Cash only, which is not the goal here.
