Hello, Im new in crypto and have a question (a stupid one).. I never really gave it much though and now i wonder. Is price of bitcoin so high (compared to altcoins) because it is so much superior or is it just because it is THE coin - the original one. Cheers  Bitcoin is the first ever coin in cryptocurrency the more that the market is changing and more advance the more the bitcoin is progressive in that changes so i think bitcoin is the first who adapt the high price of crypto. That is my own opinion. |

the reason for bitcoin prices is high because bitcoin is the king in this crypto world, the king of all altcoin that exists. and to understand this crypto world one must know bitcoin first. plus bitcoin is the strongest, highest, and more demanded coin in the market that's why bitcoin keeps on increasing

I think the price of Bitcoin is growing because of the influx of more and more new investors. Look at how many new crypto-exchanges are opening, how many new ICO projects. Cryptocurrency audience is rapidly increasing. Everyone wants to make money on nothing.

In the future, bitcoin is going to be higher still. But the reality is bitcoin is not high or expensive at all. Bitcoin is the best money there is and there will be a lots of interest in bitcoin in coming years. Once people can see bitcoin for what it is, there is no telling of it's growth.

In my opinion, the major part of Bitcoin's price is resulted from people'd faith in it. Bitcoin is a limited resource and the number of people willing to possess it is increasing. So the its price is going to be even higher.

The price of bitcoin is so high because it is the oldest, most popular and the foundation of all cryptocurrency. It takes years or decade to get those high value. Maybe those altcoins that you are holding now will become valuable or as high as the value of bitcoin today after years or decade.

In my opinion, btc prices are high for the following reasons:
1. Btc is the first coin in the cryptocurrency market, even those who have no knowledge of the cryptocurrency market are also hearing bitcoin.
2. bitcoin is finite with amount total of 21 million coins, so every 2 years the btc exploit is increased so the cost of exploiting 1 btc
