Is price of bitcoin so high (compared to altcoins) because it is so much superior or is it just because it is THE coin - the original one.

The price of bitcoin is volatile and it interacts with the news regarding cryptocurrency. As i observe right now if there is a negative news specially in the social media, we could expect a decrease in the price of bitcoin.

The most important reason for Bitcoins price is the limited supply. Limited supply create higher demand. Higher demand brings the price up.

One obvious reasons is that it is the first digital coin. For almost 10 years of Bitcoin's existence, it has accumulated a huge market cap which is one factor of it's high price.

Other coins like Ethereum were created along the path which was paved by Bitcoin. Good thing about alts is that they gave competition among all coins which makes the market active. For me, more options, more chances for better profit.

It's high for people who are afraid of it , i never think Bitcoin is high at any moment at all because at that moment that price is presented for the valuation of Bitcoin.
So it means at that moment, Bitcoin is really valuable for users all over the world.
I would love to buy Bitcoin when i needed even it's at 25k$ also because i truely believe that Bitcoin is a currency.

You're right. Now it's not the best time for BTC, 'cause its price is not so high like it was a couple or more months ago

In that case id assume that when time goes by and cryptocoins become more and more mainstream and used by the public (assuming they wont get banned) BTC should be surpassed by other coins which solve issues btc doesnt. Also fees and transfer times seem a bit too much
