I was approached today by somebody wanting to buy a large number of CLAMs for BTC.

It appears he doesn't wish to remain anonymous:

As the title states. Wish to purchase CLAM / Payment by BTC - Dooglus as escrow

I wish to avoid the open market, the fees involved, and the affect it would have being swapped in such a volume.

Listening to offers through the end of the day Friday the 26th. I will have 185BTC to work with.

Please only make offers if you hold a minimum of 1,000 CLAM. Please do not waste my time, I will not waste yours. Let me know your best price up front, I will be snapping up the best priced deals first with a preference on volume.

If you prefer to message on Just-Dice, my name there is "Scabby" user ID 44635

So you can deal with him directly. I'm of course willing to escrow trades.

Why does someone want 185BTC worth of CLAMS?  Is a whale about to bet on Just-Dice? As an investor it is a bit worrying, there isn't much else people do with CLAMS than bet on JD!
Maybe he just wants to invest and live off staking or he is a bettor and its going to move the profits, both options are good for clam and clam holders.

He told me he wants to invest, but he has a history of gambling so I guess time will tell.

Either one would be fun
Watch that bankroll grow exponentially or see a claw back to 1% house edge for a bit and a reinvestment opportunity assuming the whale sells off their winnings.

Well you can always jump the gun before the sell wall is even remotely at risk of a big win ^^.

On another note congrats on 400,000,000 + Bets JD Smiley

Do these weekly returns include staking?  If yes maybe show it with 2 columns adding to the total return.

I dont think so, the average staking is 1.5% weekly - 10% commission.

They are the overall profit per week, from staking and bankrolling combined, and after commission. ie. they are the actual net gains realised each week.

Note that the "100x" investor started at 100x, but hasn't changed his offsite amount at all. He started off with 1000 CLAMs onsite and 99k CLAMs offsite, for a 100x multiplier. As of right now his 1000 CLAMs onsite has grown to 1491, and his offsite amount is still 99k, so now his multiplier is only 67.4x

You should think to make an option that keeps the offsite maxed in case you want so and you go on a trip for a week or something, or just too lazy to do it day by day if you just leave it there.

Keeping the offsite maxed is quite difficult thing to do with it changing every single bet.

Also you know it doesn't work well if everyone has offsite maxed.

This. The more people doing offsite, the more you have to offsite to keep up. If holders of 99% of the coins do max., then you choose to either max out with them or just divest altogether as you won't get anything.

Sometimes people have trouble stopping themselves gambling. Sometimes those same people want to help bankroll Just-Dice.

For those people I allow them to set up an "invest lock". They specify the terms, and I hold their funds in the bankroll until those terms are met.

Example terms would be "I want it locked until 2 weeks from now" or "I want it locked until CLAM trades over 0.01 or under 0.004".

When you set those terms, I take them seriously. If you ask for the lock to be released before your terms are met, I will refuse. If you keep asking, I won't let you use the lock again in the future.

Neither "come on, it's nearly time" nor "your girlfriend is a bitch" are valid reasons to release invest locks early.

Do you handle those manually? Seems like it could be tedious if you are. Or do you use some other method to help automate it?

I may actually take you up on this myself. I had someone break into one of my exchange accts in the past and they were nice enough to cancel the attempted withdrawals and lock the account down from withdrawing until I personally requested (and verified my identity) to do so. In the case of JD, I think this may be something I'll do, if you are up for taking a custom request (i.e., "here's the hash of the codeword. Don't allow withdrawals unless I provide that hash to you" or something along those lines).

I handle them manually, and it is getting a little tiresome. Especially when people keep asking for me to lift the self-imposed restrictions early.

At JD you can already use 2FA to lock down individual actions, such as 'divest' and 'withdraw'. But I can set your account such that you can't divest at all without going through me, and providing the codeword for example.

The problem with that is what do I do when you contact me in a year claiming to have forgotten the codeword?

I think there's a max bet limit (self imposed). What are options are you suggesting?

if you can set the bet limit to zero for a time period that is cool. but it doesnt stop a degen from just withdrawing to a new account and being a degen. hence you would also have to allow self imposed time chosen withdrawal locks on top of bet limit locks.
