Looking at the past when many people were believing that gold is universally acceptable asset and stable in the price that I think was the reason why many people became very attached with gold. Now in the modern time people are saving their money into investment and they are earning good amount on this investment. Bitcoin has created an avenue for everyone to earn just by having bitcoin in their wallet.
Bitcoin is a great store of value and makes it easy for international transport. I believe you are right, people see it as a universal acceptable asset. |

I can't see how the gold can be better than bitcoin... They are two different things, bitcoin is a digital cryptocurrency, and can make you rich fast Maybe for someone gold is better than bitcoin because you have and can touch your gold, and bitcoin is digital  But i think that bitcoin is better than gold. Of course! Gold is a valuable metal, you can be make into jewellery and other things,but it have not many fluctuations , the rising is very stable In the matter of fact, bitcoin is still better than gold. |

Actually today I watched a video on facebook which is about spending bitcoin and gold in USA,it says it is difficult to spend bitcoin but some places are accepting bitcoins accepting as payment like supermarket,restaurants and some institutions.But no one accepting gold as payment then why still people says gold is better?
Because some people doesn't know the true value of the bitcoin. They still believe that Gold has a higher value than BTC. Golds can be touch, while we can't touch virtually and we can't predict what will be the next value of the bitcoin unlike Golds it have it's own value from the start of our time. |

So if the internet dies...are you saying we'll all just want to look at something shiny like gold or diamonds? I feel like many people said, its because of the scarcity factor and the portability. I don't want people to know about my finances or about me in general. It's anti-facebook and social media. |

I do not know why they say gold is better than bitcoin, while bitcoin transactions are spreading in their midst.
My speculation, maybe they do not know bitcoin or do not know how to use bitcoin, when in fact they admit that bitcoin is better than gold.
In terms of value, gold is more valuable than bitcoins but the down side is that, Not everyone can really afford to earn gold since it was very expensive unlike in bitcoins that you can work anytime on bounty campaigns and earn altcoins in return. Gold is physical and they find this as a proof of value. They oppose bitcoin because they think bitcoin is vurtual. There is no other explanation about their behaviour against bitcoin. Gold can be touch and seen, while bitcoin can only be seen through a phone or computer. A lot of people still prefer gold over bitcoin because gold has proven its worth over 100 years already and its price is stable. Unlike bitcoin, it keeps on fluctuating. But you can't earn huge profit in a short period of time when you invest in gold. Yeah that's true, gold is something with a physical existence which can be touched and seen. Both gold and Bitcoin are quite different from each other, gold is a natural metal with chemical composition with a wide range of uses. On the other hand Bitcoin is a vulnerable man-made virtual currency having no other quality than only being a craze of people as a technology. Bitcoin is always dependant on electricity, internet and most importantly on miners for each transaction. Bitcoin can compete with dollar or any other currency but it can never take place of a fix asset like gold. |

I don't think so, bitcoin will not die because it if is far from the truth that internet will be gone especially now that almost all of the transactions are from the internet, so it will never happen so just relax, and with those saying gold is better, maybe they were just being practical since gold is more stable. |

I agreed. Gold is more popular since it is discover first. Thus, it is more reliable than Bitcoin. People are into with the things that are popular and trusted by many; in this case, gold has it all. Gold is trusted and popular worldwide. |

People choose gold for various reasons. Gold has been our investment since the time of our ancestors. It is an investment that we can hold physically. It's value also increases though it's increase is lower than the increase value of bitcoin. Gold is stable and we'll have no doubt about it while bitcoin is volatile and unstable for now. |

They are only saying that gold is better because they are holding gold right now but still, bitcoins is better and obviously more profitable because of the value that keeps on increasing each day. The demand on the market is very high because of the investors and it only means that bitcoins is much better. |

Bitcoin is a vilatile currency which it's value is going up and down in just a short moment of time. Not unlike gold which prove its real worth in centuries. And gold symbolizes your status in a society. And gold won't decrease it's value.

Gold is already there and very famous for a very high price since the first.
But I think because now they hold gold and they do not know what is cripto or criptocurrecy and the digital money that is in bitcoin forums.
They assess the price of gold will rise in some time.
But if they understand what bitcoin is, surely they prefer it because bitcoin gives a stunning advantage.
Bitcoin is touted as a means of future investment, and people who already understand bitcoin will admit it.

I think the reason why other people says gold is better because it is given. Also, it has a very good value that they enjoy and serves as their source of income. People says gold is better because some of them don't know what bitcoin truly is. But for me, not only gold is the source of income but also bitcoin.

People say gold is better because gold is already there at the beginning of time it was a cryptocurrency even before bitcoin. Also, if you look at bitcoin today bitcoin is evidently unstable and has been continuously decreasing and increasing in a short period of time. Plus, we are also not sure if bitcoin will continue since I heard that 8 or 9 countries already officially banned domestic transaction in their country so we don't know if bitcoin will be legalized in our country or will it be banned. I also want to add the fact that it[Bitcoin] is a cryptocurrency where a single wrong move can erase all your data and cryptomoney. Some people consider bitcoin as a scam and I don't blame them since it is actually very common and is one of the negative effects of the internet ( We can't really blame people wanting to hack our account or for being selfish cause come on its money! maybe their family needs it.and bitcoin is kinda intimidating so it attracts hackers and scammers especially now that bitcoin is making his own name in this industry).
