You will need to supply nodes in order for the wallet to sync. Instructions are as follows for windows users.

Open the run prompt (click start and type "run", it will appear under programs) now enter %appdata%/globalcoin

A new explorer window should now open within the globalcoin appdata directory. Create a new file text document with notepad and paste the following:

Save the file as globalcoin.conf using "File > Save As..." be sure to change the file type to all files when saving.

The need for adding nodes will be eliminated in the next client update

You will need to create a globalcoin.conf file and add nodes for the current version to sync. I have amended my previous post to include instructions.

It's strange - I've downloaded twice - (win version) created the conf file. and the wallet is "not responding" and it's a blank window.

This looks to be a system related issue, appears globalcoin-qt is hanging. We can try some things anyway.

Step 1) Ensure no instances of globalcoin-qt.exe are running, open the task manager (ctrl+alt+del) click the Processes tab and check for globalcoin-qt.exe - if it's listed right click and end process.

Step 2) Delete everything but wallet.dat and globalcoin.conf from inside the %appdata%/globalcoin directory.

Step 3) Right click globalcoin-qt.exe and select properties, under the general tab click the "unblock" button at the bottom of the page then click "OK".

Step 4) Finally attempt to run globalcoin-qt.exe again and wait a few minutes for the client to launch before clicking about.

You might also want to try right clicking globalcoin-qt.exe and running as administrator, this shouldn't be needed however.

If none of this works ensure you have the latest windows updates and a healthy system. I would suggest running the free registry cleaning tool Piriform CCleaner to fix any issues related to incorrect dependency/program paths etc. Running "chkdsk /f" on your windows drive might be beneficial as well.

this last 2 week's or so i've notice a marked increase in hashrate (on and off) but no pools seems have any change in fact most have less now. when it grows it's by 50/60mh could you solo mine with that much

Sure, there are a few higher hashrate miners on the market now so you can expect jumps anywhere from 20 to 100 Mh/s in an instant.

i've just taken a look at your pool but for the life of me there is payout tab it says is on the dashboard in faq's

Take a look at other sites. There is almost always the same. New super crypto currency, fast and convenient, and so on. Most importantly how to get people to buy the coin and why they buy it. That's about it and think about.
