I think it's a problem with the block explorer. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/glc/ has been stuck on 1270711 and the client is past 1271331.

and what do we see? This fork .. There is no fork, the network is fine. You're confused about protocol versions among nodes not being consistent? That's just like any other coin see: https://i.imgur.com/Tv07Pf0.pngNo hard fork was required since 1.5.3, it's still the same code base; there's no nodes below that version on this chain.

That's just like any other coin see: I disagree with you. Here is a normal network: Go take a look at bitcoin and litecoin nodes and you'll find different protocol versions among them as well. Globalcoin's 70002 protocol update is backwards compatible with 70001 blocks; it remains on the same chain. This was a non-mandatory update. There is no fork.

64 days until subsidy drops to 3.125 GLC per block or 6750 a day. At some point the supply will be inadequate and the price will move up. I suppose we have been in a bull market in GLC since the 50s, so we have that going. Hopefully the client with a drop to 1 GLC per block is finished at some point in the nearish future and ta substantial subsidy can be extended for ten to twenty years.
Otherwise, on roughly:
February 15th of 2016, the subsidy will drop to 3375 a day
Early July of 2016: 1687.5
Mid November 2016: 843.75
Early March 2017: 421.875
Mid July 2017: 210.9375
Early November 2017: 105.46875
So we getting the subsidy drawn out is a big deal, but there are other solutions such as POS that can be implemented. The road forward is fine for the forseeable, future and client changes continue to be working. Hoepfully we have some guidance on this within the next few months.

like POT (rdd) ? yes worth watching ... hope POT crew cleans and polishes the code [you see the fork it caused ... all exchanges took it offline] -- +4M dump yes that f'ks things for a while ... how many soft hands caught cheap GLC? -- GLC has super awesome distro numbers (why there might also be 150 likes for an otherwise invisable crypto) we can take our time selecting the perfect algo to fork (if needed). --- @ telescop https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=243911.msg11708196#msg11708196the RzR, Naut, infinite, ltcd principledon't sweat the 51% attack unless the above have been forked and vaporized first

Yup, POT is going through some issues with their fork. They neglected to disconnect older client by incrementing the Protocol number and it is causing a warning.
POSv is new to me so like you said..best to let others test the waters.
