We've detected that GlobalCoin $GLC was just listed on Bittrex!

https://international.bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-GLC

This is a GoldCoin.

Take care, I wouldn't be surprised if this had split and is on its own fork, with no one else being able to discover these IPs. Or it could just be that the network is so dead that there's only 2 nodes left.

Pool  Huh Huh Huh

To the best of my knowledge, the only exchange which has this coin listed is Yobit, and it's been in maintenance since last year.

The difficulty is low so you can solo mine, but the reward is tiny... currently 0.00610351 GLC per block. It's barely above dust.

Not much point in having a pool for this coin as it stands.

I think interest peaked a little today/yesterday.   Facebook's planned Global Coin has a naming issue imo.  I wanted to update my chain just in case.
I was surprised the coin price and volume was much higher than anything recent.  Suppose this is just a long shot just in case.

If by price you mean on Yobit, be aware that GLC has been in maintenance for months there. You won't be able to deposit and I doubt you'd be able to withdraw.

Hi this is SistaFista aka Mike.

Just to make everybody aware this account (SistaFista) has been compromised and this post/account is no longer trusted or valid. I have tried to contact the dev team here but have had no response for months now. So we have been talking and decided to move to reddit as our community message board and plan on updating and releasing the new branch with hot fixes etc on reddit. Very sorry i've been away I have been very ill and had accommodation issues so had to deal with these things. But i'm better now and really would like to push an update that will help globalcoin grow further. If you would like to discuss the future and any changes you would like to see, head over to the new reddit page here: COMING SOON TM. Until then you can check out https://www.facebook.com/Globalcoin
We would love for you to join us and again I can only apologise for my absence. Hope you can all understand.

You guys are the best

Mike/SistaFista

P.S Again don't trust the SistaFista username/account he/she stole the account!

Not to be rude, but why should we trust you? Do you have any proof that you are SistaFista?

Libra is a brand of female sanitary products in Australia (possibly elsewhere, doesn't seem at first glance to be global), so saying "I need to buy some Libra" could be taken a little differently here...  Smiley

Wouldn't a giant like Facebook launching its own global currency have massive anti-competitive ramifications?

If GLC is to be "reborn" then the tiny block reward will probably have to be addressed.

The current reward is only 0.00610351 GLC per block, which is 1/16384th the value of the original reward of 100 GLC. Could only be a couple more halvings before the output is so small that the network considers it dust, and it doesn't even get added to the miner's wallet (this has happened with another coin I mine.)

I've been progressively consolidating small (mined) unspent outputs, but now it's come to the point where even trying to send 0.1 GLC fails. Sad

How do long term hodlers feel? On the one hand, increasing the block reward will dilute existing hodlings, but on the other, without a change, miners have no incentive to secure the network.

Give up. What possible use is there for this shitcoin among a sea of shitcoins? Don't dwell on it, move on. It was never anything and it will never be.
