Hi everyone. I've tried participating in a couple of airdrops but haven't gotten any coins yet. For those of you who have, how do you go about making anything out of airdrops? Is it worthwhile or just the usual pump and dump?

As long as I follow the airdrop, the majority is unprofitable, some are just junk coins. But there are some airdrop that is profitable because the value of coins can be said not too cheap. For now the airdrop is not at all profitable, just a waste of time.

Some are profitable and some are not, it is your choice to join in airdrop that you think will pump high at the ends. You can participate to all of it if you like because it is so easy to do airdrop and you may not know one of the coin you participated will rise in value after a year. Just hodl if you got one or value pump high.

Most of the airdrop aren't profitable at all! but some might be profitable.

Example : Hawala.Hat giving out 85 tokens for free as the airdrop (if I'm not mistaken), and it's now worth over $500 (was $2.2k when it was at the peak). And this is not the only one!
So, I think yes it is profitable as long as you joined an airdrop of a promising project. But it's not that hard to claim an airdrop though, just try to join as much airdrops as u can. Who knows it might be a hidden gem!

Airdrops are free and you don't invest financially in it so it is profitable but they do take a really long time to send your airdrop coins. But nowadays maximum airdrops are scams and it's realy seldom the good airdrops.  So every body needs to be careful while sharing their personal information. Never share your private key to anyone because the scammers will not leave even a penny in your wallet if you do so.

Only a few airdrop I think is profitable. A lot of airdrop out there is very bad. I follow a lot of airdrop and often my airdrop coins just become junk coins. I do not like airdrop.

Most of the airdrops are not legitimate and fake but not all are fake and few of the airdrops are giving back a good profit once you support their platform. The good in airdrops are mostly free and you don't need to invest any money on it but you will gain profit.

I think it depends on the coin. If it is a good coin, then yes, participate in the airdrops. Stay away from bad coins. Good coins are good for a reason haha

Airdrops are free money so it is profitable indeed.. you just have to do certain task then your good! easy money! But now there are a lot of fraud out there, so just be vigilant in choosing the right coin to take part.

If you have no job and nothing else to do then yeah it can be profitable I think and sometimes you can hit a jackpot and your airdrop pump a lot

But usually airdrops are worthless and you can be scammed by it

It's free and you have right to join or not. Join an airdrop could bring you back some tokens. With those tokens you can sell for profits or simply hold till the price is good enough for selling. My advice is hold them because with airdrop , you will not receive a huge amount of token, just a little bit so it's better to hold till it reaches to the moon.

Airdrops is profitable in anyway you want. It's not just that token but you can trade it with other token. Don't just trade just specific airdrop you can sell them and buy another token so that you can produce a profit. If you don't want to sell just HODL nobody knows when will it be mooning. I have regrets to some of them. I sold it for a very low price and the next day it was boom!

Airdrops are freebies so if they pump or goes down it doesn't matter, just do some research on it and see if it's good to keep or sell it for some profits?

yes many airdrops are profitable. when i was just starting in crypto market i keep joining in airdrop although many are scams or useless coins there are few who give good returns. im holding exrn and ebtc both coins now have good price

Airdrop actually costs nothing from you and you could receive back some tokens or coins from the nowhere( original air-drop way ).  Have chance to earn something from nothing so i guess it's profitable of course.

Some airdrops have no value, but many of my coins coming from airdrop have a huge price.  For airdrops necessarily need separate email accounts and wallet. It will save you from scams.

Airdrops are made only for hype, to increase the popularity of a coin. It is not really made for great profit. But there are coins that do have a great potential, I can mention oyster pearl token which was airdropped last 2016 and it reached a worth of 10 000 USD at the start of this year, it was a very great news for many who have held the coin for some time.
