Do we Need Altcoin?

There are Bitcoin, and also there are Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold and B2X that we use it as an altcoin, but do we still need other altcoins? as i knew in the forum on the altcoin section there are much announcement about new altcoins almost everyday. do we still need that altcoins?

I think it takes altcoins because we all know the function and usefulness, because for investment with cryptocurrency is needed

Of course we do. There are so many instances where one altcoin maybe beneficial than the other relative to its prices. Price somehow matters. On the other hand think about altcoins as stores. Now everybody just lined up to buy something and the store is just too busy to transact business with you. Do you really need to wait or go to another store? What I mean to say here is that altcoins provide better options when the most valuable coin for you is too expensive to buy or the network is busy as in the analogy. If you need to have faster transactions, can altcoin provide it? Yes of course definitely when these coins do not have more customers online to transact certainly you've got the whole road as passageway. So for it this the reason why need altcoins as options.

yah, we still need altcoins, so there are so many coins in the coinmarket now. each altcoins are created to be used in some field in the real life. alcoins or bitcoin can make our lifer convenient with lower fee..,

The more good altcoins exist the better for us because there will be a competition for claiming to be the best of all. But BTC is the flagship of the crypto armada. If BTC sinks, the whole armada suffers.

We need altcoins because we need diversity, better tech solutions, alternate blockchain applications, improved consensus mechanisms, etc.

Altcoins are here to stay, but it's a real shame to have so many scams/shitcoins

YES. I think we need the king of altcoin and that is ETHEREUM. Simply holding Bitcoin forks like Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold doesn't fulfill the need of altcoins. I think at least holding Ethereum is also necessary, for no. of reasons, Ethereum have it's own blockchain. Ethereum is the most sophisticated cryptocurrency, highly demanded and many ICOs using Ethereum blockchain to launch altcoins. I think Ethereum should be included in every portfolio.

Yes ofcourse I think it is good to engage some altcoins because they have all variety all of altcoins is profitable when goes up in the market. We need some altcoins to exchange in btc too.

We need altcoins to test other functionalities of tokenized assets but to have thousands of altcoins is deifnitely not sustainable. I think the number of altcoins will dramatically decrease in next year and a half.

totally agree with you. Altcoins are necessary, but they extremely depend on bitcoin. and even the fact that there are more and more serious altcoins appearing every day, i don't think that some day they will get independent from their bitcoin-dictator)))

Yes we need altcoin, because altcoin also has the potential to increase in terms of price, and it will be an advantage for us. Bitcoin is the main coin in crypto, but there's nothing wrong we also choose altcoin as an alternative to bitcoin.

Yes, because lots of them are offering alternative technical features that bitcoin does not have. They also have different transaction commission costs and speeds that certain users can't afford for BTC. There are many other reasons, but the basic one is the increase of variety in the market. Imagine there was only one e-mail service provider on the net...
