think about it - they offer you free water and gum/candy, its all customer satsifaction shit, then you tell your friends and its a ripple effect
the catch is that only works if the customers after using rentberry/uber what have you, feel genuinely that happy and good about the product they're willing to tell their friends
my thinking is long-term rental though is not as fast as a turnover as 20 minute taxi rides, so that might mean that whole domino effect is slower, but it's almost the best way to market something (read malcolm gladwell "tipping point")

Absolutely true, and it actually worked the same way for me. You can foster the effect by additional marketing campaigns, but word of mouth is the best.
