Question buddy why in my cgminer for CGB solo the diff says 0 is that because of the pos blocks? Should I not be solo right now??

Sounds odd. I reverted to solo for a while when the hash rate dropped, but you are probably better off in a pool still, depending on your hashrate.

http://gcb.smalltimeminer.com is probably the better choice of pool right now.
can you check this link what is going on https://i.imgur.com/XqniH3D.png

Merc if you're not too busy can we have an update on how things are going?

Development is ongoing and all updates will be on the dev blog as has been the case for the past several weeks.

The process is slow going but it will get done right.  And I'm really excited about the prospects.

Yep, slow and steady wins the race  Smiley

Till then trying to take advantage of the market right now, just achieved 5k cgb, but one can never have enough Cheesy I simply cannot comprehend why people keep dumping such large amounts at such low prices... Well better for me and better for cgb in the long term!

Yeah, who knows why there's selling at this level with so many developments in the works...?  Maybe some guy lost out on a big divorce settlement or something and is forced to sell.  Ha!

I don't think many people know what's going on with CGB.  Most people must think it's just another useless alt coin clone.  Do you think it we be better if we just junked this thread and start a brand new announcement thread detailing the exciting new developments for CGB?  The first post should talk about MADEsparq and all the developments.  I just don't get that from this thread.  The only reason I found about CGB is from my own research of every coin on the Cryptsy list.  Just an idea.

Or, maybe we should move the CGB discussion to the below thread and just close this one.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=335955.40

Stuff like that is Elambert's department...

At least a link to http://MADEsparq.org in the OP would be a good thing, although there are links plenty on the CB website itself.

Working on it now, thanks for the suggestion Smiley

All sent, btw! Faucet still running!

Is this a ref to your question about our favorite aspect of cgb?  Or is there some web faucet I should know about?

A reference to this thread's giveaway.

I've had some CGB for a little while and I wanted to try to mint proof-of-stake blocks.  Therefore I opened up the QT client and waited for it to sync.  After getting up-to-date, I'm getting a weird warning:

"WARNING: Checkpoint is too old.  Wait for blockchain to download, or notify developers."

Well hovering the mouse over the same warning shows: "Up to date ...", so this is me notifying developers.

What shall I do to fix this warning?  It seems to be preventing me from minting my POS.

Ok, I'm still getting the same message after updating to the latest version I found on your google drive for linux.  This is the version string:
v1.1.6.5-gdf9d55a-cgb

Still has the checkpoint too old warning and says blockchain is uptodate.

What should I do to mint my stake?

Also, FYI, you must have at least 1 CGB to earn interest. Someone had mentioned having 0.5 before, I don't recall who it was though.

Whoa, just before you close the 'incentive', I am just starting to mine CGB and I have been drawn to it because it offers a more stable less volatile repository that can be seen as a virtual commodity.
